Dawson has staved off some very tough and determined veterans already. Calzaghe couldn't do it on forcefulness and pressure alone in this one, and he doesn't have the power to bother Dawson. Joe would have to eat a hot dog eating contest's worth of hard power shots to decision Dawson, and at 175 I don't think he could do it. Calzaghe's punch resistance isn't the same against world class leather, that was crystal. Dawson, without hesitation.

I would've backed Dawson to beat Calzaghe when Calzaghe was still active.

I guess you would beat Calzaghe in a fight aswell then....

I like Calzaghe but he is NO God (neither is Ali for that matter, or anyone) Hopkins is a great fighter at the age of 44... look what he did to the next American hope Pavlik for proof! and a Calzaghe who wasn't even in his prime and unmotivated aswell beat B-Hop.

Calzaghe was a great fighter, not as great in legacy as Ali, Ray Robinson or anyone like that but still really good.

You say you like to expose overrated fighters? what was you saying about Jeff Lacy then?:lol:

Ive never praised Jeff Lacy back then, and dats the honest truth,I didnt even know who he was until they started calling him the next "Mike Tyson",and right there thats when Jeff became overrated especially with a pathetic record like his at the time which were mostly Knockouts ova Bums,I NEVA expected anything great from Lacy

Hopkins was able to defeat Pavlik because even though he was past his prime,HE WAS NOT FAR FROM HIS PRIME!! Thats the thing people need 2 understand,as an example Roy Jones is past his prime but hes also FAR from his prime so therefore hes a washed up fighter,Calzaghe did not fight a PRIME Hopkins,...Dont give me none of that "Well Joe is not in his prime either" YES HE WAS IN HIS PRIME,what has changed about Joe since 10 years ago? what?? he still has a very high work rate,he still got a good chin,he still has great stamina,Joe still fights the same, nothing has changed about him so therefore hes still in his prime,

Hopkins is past his prime,10 years ago,he also had a high work rate and great stamina, now he gets tired and deosnt throw as many punches anymore, and yet I still feel A Prime Joe lost to a Past Prime B-hop, a lot of people say it,and everybody with at least half a brain knows Bernard and Roy Jones PRIME 4 PRIME would have easily destroyed Joe no question,But Joe never proved me right, cuz never he stepped it up and came to american back then,he instead continued beating up on bums like Pat Lawler and Will McIntyre while Roy and Bernard were dominating P4P undefeated champions James Toney and Felix Trinidad who are both legends

Your opinion will change if Dawson beats Johnson convincingly.

Dawson is way faster, stronger and bigger. He would be the best fighter Cal has ever faced. I would put everything I own on Dawson. Dawson offensively is the closest thing to a prime Roy. Unlike Roy, Bernard and other fighters Cal has fought Dawson will actually punch back hard and fast for a whole fight.

Dawson made it public he would go to the UK to fight Cal. If Cal would have taken that fight he would have finally got my respect regardless of the result.

Prime Hopkins um..no. Just cause he beat Pavlik doesn't mean he's in his prime.

Agreed. Prime Calz would have been far too much for Prime Roy and Hop
