Calzaghe would beat Dawson if they fought next year

I don't really KNOW your right but there is no way I would bet against Calzaghe in that one.

Calzaghe in his prime no dout possible KO the version that beat Hopkins and Jones Jnr yep still Calzaghe by wide UD just to good , thow if your asking now if Calzaghe was to come out of retirement to fight Dawson id say SD Dawson as joe's been out the ring 2 years and is near on 40 now isent he Dawson whould be that little bit quicker,sharper,and all round to much for Calzaghe at this point and he knows this which is why he will stay retired and remain having gone out on top undefeated

That is one of the worst association attempts i have ever seen on the ESB board. Who do you think is gonna expose dawson. He isn't gonna get exposed because he can do everything and fast at that. He will get beatin but not exposed. one demensional fighters get exposed and dominated, not versitile guys. They just get beat when they lose. They don't get really dominated for 12 rounds unless they aren't using their versitility. DAWSON WILL NEVER BE EXPOSED but he will be beat. Kessler got exposed, pavlik got exposed, trinadad got exposed, tarver got exposed. All of them are 1 demensional 1-2 stalkers. Dawson is versitile.

 

I don't think so Dawson isn't in his 40s like the other guys Calslappy waited to fight

 

not sure if it would be easy. Dawson is a tough kid who has beaten some tough fighters. Besides, Calzaghe is retire permanently.

 

Like 39 year old Jones? Like Kessler and Lacy, both in their twenties?

Chad Dawson last four fights: 41 year old Tarver twice. 40 year old Johnson twice.

Chad Dawson has called out the 44 years old Hopkins.

 

Let Dawson clear out the old so then he can concentrate on destroying the new...

 

He better get to it before they get old too...or is that what he's waiting for? I'll listen to talk about Dawson once he takes on Pascal, Diaconu, and Cloud. Then he needs to move up and find some real competition.

Fighting 4 fights against guys over 40 is not proof of anything for a guy Dawson's age. He should have waited for those guys till he'd taken out some younger guys and made an actual name for himself. Then he could have cashed in.

 

hey, the public called for the johson rematch. the tarver rematch was contractual. I don't think u can blame chad for either of those rematches. he'll probably end up fighting pascal after he beats the crap out of "the shark" again.

 

Good point. But maybe the public wouldn't have called for it if Dawson was a semi-exciting fighter. They wanted to see it again to watch him lose ;-)

 

Besides that, if the older guys are the best around (by proof, not potential), you fight the older guys.
