Problem is Dawson is taking the same path Calzaghe did. Fighting old, past their prime fighters and being criticized for it....although in reality it is not wholly either guys fault. Both guys divisions are/were weak, both tried to get bigger fights up to this point and and are high risk/ low reward guys at similar stages in their careers. Dawson would be the best fighter JC fought who was in his prime. Calzaghe would be the best fighter Dawson ever fought, but he is clearly past it, so it would be more of the same for him. I'd like to see the fight if it ever came to be. Obviously, its a pipe dream.
RJJ was within a month of his 40th birth-day smart-ass, furthermore Slappy could've fought both guys at thier peaks, Dawson couldn't nor did he get his chance, he is simply doing what he can to get his name out there. Slappy hid in wales for over 10 yrs behind an unrecognized WBOGUS title before doing something.
Why? Because I told the truth about your hero? You're gay, you probably have a stained Slappy poster that you worship every night *****.
Calzaghe did fight Lacy and Kessler in their primes, so exactly what point are you failing to make here?
Not at all, Adamek is the one guy in there to give me pause. Adamek is good, but he's only 1 guy. I like Dawson, but I wish he'd get some more definitive fights. If this keeps up, he will have the same sort of legacy JC does. Right or wrong.
:goodThank you, using Lacy and Kessler as his best wins, is just Lame. Don't worry Historians will remember both Jones and Hopkins as being better than Slappy :yep
Who's using Lacy and kessler as Calzaghe's best wins apart from you in an effort to make a moot point, since they weren't his best wins?
It really isn't difficult to understand the road Dawson has taken. If you've paid attention to his moves since the first Glencoffe fight, you should understand.
