Toney all day! Smarter, faster, stronger than Calzaghe. Calzaghe was knocking out bums, Toney was knocking out world class opponents.

Yet somehow Toney managed to lose to people calzaghe would destroy? More than once.

None of these things matter if the style is wrong.

Now, I'm not saying it is, but you have to cover it in boxing analysis.

Just thought I'd lend a hand.

for work rate, that was tiberi's only trait. you can see how toney isn't getting hid shots off, and when he does he doesnt continue.

and i use reggie johnsons southpaw style just too show how toney cant handle the southpaw stance.

calzaghe is not barkley. too fast and agile by standing straight up infront of toney winging away.

i would bet on joe since he is the underdog here. i can see a very boring fight happening.

Is any fighter more overrated on ESB than Toney?

First off, I think he was a very good, bordering on great fighter, but really his slate doesn't really stack up against those of other topliners within this era, such as Pacquiao, Mayweather, Hopkins etc.

Second, any fighter that loses twice in his prime (once pretty clearly) to Montell Griffin is certainly no certainty to beat Calzaghe. Especially with his flat footed nature and at times low output.

Calzaghe would have to dig deep to take this one, but it's certainly not beyond him at all - I'm no fan btw.
