It's a good that he realises when he's throwing pitty pat super flurries :nod.

 

Pernell Whitaker couldnt crack an egg as far as good punchers go but what he did, he did it well.... same with Calzaghe, 46-0 tells you he would be insane to change his ways now.

Also.... Joe is actually a decent puncher, its just that he relies on his boxing ability more than his punch which IMO is what makes a great champion.

JC shows patience, using his`pitty pat`punches as you like to call them but all with the aim of opening opponents up for a more solid shot while smartly investing in points... you know, those little things that win fights if you dont get the KO.

The guy is a great fighter, just accept it now & get over it.

That's absolutely right and it just might make Calzaghe try too hard against RJJ. It could be his downfall to consciously try putting more snap on his punches...

 

Taking everything you said into context but he still has the shittiest fighting style to watch right next to Cory Spinks. He gets the job done but is a sloppy ordeal.

 

Only b/c he does not have that big one punch like Tarver. It would be a damned good idea if he had the power.

Manny PAc is pfp because he ko's bums and old men. Cal is not pfp because he is a boxer. This is how boxing sees fighters. Fans love the puncher/slugger first and the boxer second. It isn't until the slugger is beaten up by the boxer that the boxer is truly appreciated.
