What the **** do you want, a boxer or Oscar Wilde?
You are a hater plain and simple.

I haven't directed any personal abuse at you. This seems to be a concept you struggle with.

Gotta love the irony of somebody who doesn't like Hatton, because he's supposedly dirty and gets away with a lot....and then sucks Hopkins balls.

What about the irony of you mentioning Hatton in a non-Hatton thread which I seem to remember you taking exception to me doing recently?

I think you probably saw the headline and got a little bit defensive and read too much into it...

If you notice, it's actually the article that states "And Calzaghe says it will be a night to savour for British fight fans fed up with motor-mouth Hopkins' disrespectful comments."

I'm not sure how you deduced he thinks he'll be doing everyone a favour from the quotes. He just made a few quips about how he's going to retire Hopkins - fairly bog standard trashtalking

But if I was a Hopkins fan, I'd keep my mouth shut when it comes to any aspect of trashtalking. He likes to fuel racial and nationalistic tension, whereas Joe has the audacity to presume the many hundreds of Brits flying over are on his side :patsch

I respect the way you defend your man. Don't think I won't stick to our arrangement.:good

I was laughing at the fact you shoe-horn Hatton bashing into any thread possible.

Now I'm just questioning your hypocrisy with the use of your opinions......

Ok I admit it you got under my skin a bit with the level of abuse you spit out against certain fighters (except Hatton, keep that up) and then how over sensitive you are when people dare to hit back. But if I ever reply to you again I'll keep it strictly about the fighters themselves.:good

    You're boring.

The level of abuse is normally backed up with reason. I don't mind people hitting back as long at their is rational in place.:good

Ok I got drawn into making personal remarks because like I say you got under my skin, but I'll quit that as it gets a bit juvenile going down that road as can be witnessed on the general forum. Anyway I'll hit back but on a boxing level, fact of the matter is Hopkins is a ego maniac smack talker so Calzaghe saying things back is no big deal, and I agree with you Calzaghe is not the most eloquent speaker but that counts for nothing when the bell rings.

Seriously don't worry about it man. Yup I agree which is why Joe should be doing what he does best, getting ready for the fight. Talkings never been his game which is why I'm perplexed as to why he is doing so now.

As if Hopkins has been an angel.

Big deal about the scripted trash talk. Its simply to drum up interest in the up coming fight amongst the casual sports fans.

This is 'hype' which is what of course Hopkins fans put his racially charged 'white boy' remark down to.

I largely agree with them there too. I like to see passion though Dan-B nice to see, but bias often skews logic.

Calzaghe will retire Old man Hopkins!

This is purely to sell the fight and keep it in the press in the lead up to the fight, especially bearing in mind not all the tickets have been sold. Calzaghe and BHop actually have a lot of respect for each other. Hopkins has said how grateful he is that Calzaghe has helped to sell the fight and help the promotional hype so that he hasn't had to do it all himself.
