He did nothing to force a fight...outside of beating every credible contender in the ****ing division bar Ottke!

You are a moron mate. Your trying to tell me because Ottke was pretending Calzaghe didn't exist JC was obliged to go over to Germany knock on his door and introduce himself :rofl

To say that Calzaghe didn't nothing to warrant a fight with Ottke is utterly insane!

Im not bothered though. Ive proven my point. Your a nonsensical hater pure and simple. Though myself and others established that 3 or 4 pages back.

    Cya.

Ottke did the same, and more. He defended his belt, he unified, and he beat Mitchell when he was champion. Not exactly impressive looking over from Germany - The WBO champion, who fights Ottke's previous conquests.

Maybe it impresses you, but you're obviously very easily pleased.

It hasn't been the most exciting reign granted, but Kessler is harldy the only decent fight. Eubank, Brewer, Reid, Mitchell, Woodhall were all good fights.

Having said that, I actually paid to watch the Starie fight and that was a stinker!!

Do you know what? I really couldn't give a toss if they are ****ing each other's mothers at the weigh in. I just want to see the fight now, and whats more I want to see a career defining performance from JC to let the world know why 43 is considered too old for top flight boxing.

    Bring on the fight.

All of those fighters had lost in their previous two fights...
Eubank had lost to Collins, Brewer had been stopped by Echols, Reid had lost to Malinga, Mitchell was coming off a loss to Ottke and Woodhall had been beaten by Beyer.
It says it all, Calzaghe's title defences were as poor as anyones. Even the best ones can't be justified as much good.

I've said what I think, even him beating a 43 year old middleweight isn't going to be enough.

His title defences Gaz mentioned had all lost in their previous 2.
Eubank hadn't beaten a decent fighter for 3 years.

Well I see that attention seeking **** SleazeNation has managed to make this thread about him. Come on boys you should have known better. Anyway, to the people that matter heres my answers. You should probably know it's 2.24am & I'm ****ed but here goes.

Well believe it sunshine. There's some Irish & some distant, so my Auntie believes, Indian but I'm British. British as they come. I really don't see your point. Make one.

Why should we get behind "our" fellow Brit? For me nationality doesn't come into it. Hopkins is a man I respect & empathise with, Calzaghe isn't. Joe does normally keep shut I agree, so why he isn't now is beyond me. A 36 year old undisputed world champ having his career dictated by a **** like Warren is really sad.

No I don't know that actually. I never kid myself.

Yup Beatboxer you know me son. This has got **** all to do with Joe's career & never have I called him a coward. For me your excellent career analysis posts drew a line under all of that. Thanks once again for some excellent objective writing.

This was about my feelings towards the two men. I want Hopkins to do this & sail off into the sunset. He's the last of the old skool, make no mistake about that, and once he's gone you will never see another like him. For those of you waiting to say "good" or "thank god" etc dont bother.

Ok I won't. As for that Sleazey poster he seems to hate Calzaghe as much as you but calling him a coward goes too far. Previous posts he made gave me the impression he knows a lot about boxing but calling a man with 44 Pro fights a coward makes you lose respect for his opinions.

Coward in boxing terms, because he's never taken any risks. Ottke was one too.

Comparing him to guys like Haye or Hatton, I can't call him anything else.

Just read them. He's talking about Hopkins looks, but Bernard makes fun of them himself so that was a fail. He's not jealous of Calzaghe, personally I think Bernard has character. As for him getting into legacies I think Joe walks dangerous ground when he does that.

To be honest it sounded like more scripted bull**** & when they are face to face he wont be saying anything like that. I really want to see Joe get battered, this arrogant persona doesn't suit him & the fact he's putting on some act just sums the man up really.
