Pavlik would be a super at 168 two undefeated fighters at their primes rather than fighting an old roy jones who has lost a few and not that great recently

spot on to even claim to be great you have to fight prime fighters and perform i think the result doesnt matter as muchas the performance if he fights Pavlik

Well... among the 3 options I can vote RJJ is the best fight. I'd also like to see a fight vs. Pavlik, but I'm afraid it's never going to happen of Joe fights only once more. And you know what? The name below Kelly Pavlik, Bernard Hopkins that is, so the rematch wouldn't be bad at all if they were a few years younger. But among the 3 options I can vote for, from the bottom: Hopkins, Calzaghe and RJJ, my pick is RJJ.

 

yep exactly a performance against high calibre opposition is needed if the performance is there the result doesnt matter.

Just a thought to add to this discussion who thinks Calzaghe wil never be the same again??

 

Why? Because that's how I feel, that's why. I could start saying 'historical significance' or 'in 2008 RJJ still can make it closer than Pavlik' or 'Joe's style is just horrible for Kelly' or 'Joe deserves a HUGE payday' or 'it's still a bigger event' but in the end my reason is still the same. I'd like to see Joe vs. Jones more.
