Roy Jones Jr period, he is a legend, this is the biggest fight out therer from a money standpoint. Will be competitive. Kelly Pavlik? for his last fight, I damn sure dont wanna see that

    Well, it's a lose-lose situation for Joe.

If he beats Jones, Roy will be old, sh*t, etc. But in fact, there's only 3 years in difference and he looked good not only vs. Tito, but his reflexes, power, stamina compared to himself a few fights back. Hopkins made a comeback so why write off Roy?

If Joe beats Kelly, Pavlik's going to be another hyped machine, a little guy jumping up in weight, a boxer with a punch but no defense, a guy who lost to an old man etc. etc. I see the hundreds of threads in both ways from these idiots.

But in the end, having a win of over a very good fighter on your record or over a legend at once considered as the most talented ever, you gotta pick the second one, especially if he's far from being shot. Joe has fought the young undefeated champ in Kessler. And I think Kessler would beat Pavlik. So he should fight Roy.

It depends on if this is his last fight or not. Joe's not getting any younger and he's a bit past his prime.

If it's his last fight I'd go with Jones or Pav. Some claim Jones has a second lease on life now, still has speed, and has regained confidence. If he fights Jones, and beats him in a competitive fight where they both don't look like old men then this is the best choice, money, and legacy. Pav. makes sense because he is the hot young gun from 160-175. If Joe can't make 168 without considerable sacrafice through weight draining, will Pavlik make the leap up to 175??? Hops went from 160 to 175, so Pavlik would have to take the fight @ Joe's weight mandate, or guess what, Pavs. ducking an old man.

If Calz. wants a few more fights, and has the tools left to do it, then he should first unify the light-heavy. Start with Dawson and go from there. In the mean time, have a Jones, Hopkins, Pavlik, Bute tournement. Then if Joe unify's Light Heavy, he fights the winner of the other tournement
