regardless of what you think of him,hes kinda right about pavlik,who as good as he is hasnt got anything joe has already beaten.

Yes, Joe Calzaghe, like 99.9% of all boxers in history, talks ****. Well done. I laugh at how some posters are on here saying "Oh, he only deserves flak for calling out Pavlik and then not fighting him. If he hadn't of done that, he'd be ok in my book". You're full of ****. If Calzaghe had of said something along the lines of "Pavlik is a young promising champion with his whole career ahead of him. I've only got one more fight in me and it's gonna be Jones so me and Pavlik won't be fighting" you would all be over him saying the same things you're saying now. That he's ducking Pavlik and is afraid.


How the **** you people come up with the idea that a grown man who's had 45 pro fights is afraid is beyond belief. I still think he'll fight Pavlik and if he fights him by early next year, i'd favour him to win, but although it would be an impessive win, it wouldn't even be in Calzaghe's top 3.

 

I don't know what YOU're talking about...but my entire argument is that he gets what he deserves on this one for hyping up Pavlik, downplaying Jones and then trying to backtrack when he takes the easier fight.

And stop acting like everyone who doesn't suck Calzaghe's knob is some sort of a hater. I think it's funny how I defend the guy when everyone else says he's a fraud and the one time I disagree with his approach, I get dropped to hater status.

Even Pac fans have a little bit of leeway on things.

No, i'm cetainly not calling you a hater. You've been quite consistent and honest in your opnions. I also agree that Calzaghe does deseve flak for his **** talk. But he is not the only boxer to have trash talked before a fight. He is trying to sell this fight with Jones. No boxer is going to sign up for a fight and then try their best to downplay it as a nothing event. He wants his fight with Jones to sell because he wants to be well paid.

My whole point is, some posters want to try and act high and mighty with how Calzaghe has behaved. Calzaghe is 37 in potentially his last fight as a pro and wants to cash out. Pavlik is only stating to hit the big time now. If Pavlik is as good as his fans make him out to be, he shouldn't need Calzghe to further his career. He's got enough quality opponents around as it is.


All in all though, i'm of the opinion that they will fight. If both men do the business against Jones and Hopkins then this could vey well be Calzaghe's biggest payday to date and I doubt he'll want to pass that up.

 

What can I do?I'm not gonna do anything but hope that the old Roy remember's what he was once and comes back for one final fight to take Joe's 0 but I doubt it
