Calzaghe's gone and this is how I see it...

    o not this type of 'fan'.....everyone i know wanted to see roy jones vs calzaghe- he was 'knowingly shot' loool except people were split on who was going to win and many picked roy......then hes not allowed to showboat!!!!!!!!!!! even tho he was knocked down and hurt in the first round!then the fight dawson thing-wooow if he wins that what would you say...' he was green, hed already been beaten by johnson and who has he beaten!...hopkins again?????no thanks zzzzz...and pavlik? u kiddin me. Now im just tryna point out the other side of the story. I wasnt being critical of the other fighters as ima fan

    Just because people thought Jones wouldd win, doesn't mean he WASN'T shot :lol::patsch It changes nothing.

    I agree with your sentiment in general, but Calzaghe did not have a no rematches rule, he re-matched Mario Veit, he only came up with the no rematches rule because he didn't want to fight Hopkins again. Also, it doesn't matter who Calzaghe had fought in his career, he never had the skills or ability of a Leonard, Mayweather or Jones.

    He's possibly the biggest question mark in boxing right now. In hindsight we see a fighter who had an amazing title defense run, but the cons are it's a lesser known belt and his opposition is less then impressive. A fighter with exceptional talent, yet (to me) he only showed excellent skill against Lacy and Kessler. Two fighters that are now (in hindsight) not as good as they were hyped up to be. I think Kessler is a great talent, but he's a got a little more time to ripen. As for Lacy...we know the end to that story. Kinda like a next generation David Reid.
