Right. Power is not an option. He caught Kessler below the ribs and took his wind away, but that was about the placement of the shot, not the power. At this stage of his career he knows that his hands are strictly for point-accumulation. If he really sat down on a left-hand it would probably shatter. He even said himself that he's a fist and a half fighter. Does pretty well, considering.

 

Hopkins spoiled that fight not calzaghe. If calzaghe is such a light puncher why didn´t bhop walk through him?

First off being a light puncher has nothing to do with another fighter walking over him

2nd Bhop was an old shot piece of **** and everyone knew and hopefully now knows this....Roy Jones and Glenn Johnson, 2 fighters from the same era are much better now and were even better then(and yes everyone also knows Johnson was green when he fought Bhop)

Only way Joe stops RJJ is if Roy stays on the ropes and allows the ref to jump in and stop the bout because Roy is not answering back. I guess this fight is made about 5-7 years to late and at this point I find it difficult to choose Roy because of his lulls in activity and lack of risk taking. In Roy's prime he would have won an intresting competitive fight against Joe but that Roy Jones is long gone my people. I still give RJJ a solid shot at the upset but in terms of stoppages Joe has never really had incredible power....decent but far from intimidating. Joe's style works for him, its quite unorthadox and his delivery is not ment for power more for accumulation/volume to create points on the scorecards.

This is a terrible post...sorry...just terrible.

Hopkins is shot...yet still arguably beat Calzaghe (I had Joe winning 8-4 minus the KD...but that was with giving Joe all of the close rounds...Im sorry, but it was a hell of alot closer than these Calzaghe fanatics want to admit).

Hopkins is shot...Roy isnt...yet Hopkins embarrassed Tarver, Roy got KO'd and decisioned by him...Johnson also lost to him.

Johnson was 31-0 and he was green. Be serious...you never even heard of Johnson before he beat Roy Jones??? Admit it...its ok.
