If he stops Jones, which is unlikely, it will be because of his stamina rather than his power

Exactly, In some ways I can picture Joe breaking his wrist before KOing Roy. :yep

No but seriously its quite unlikely but possible.

    Okay, posting abit of realism.

Calzaghe has some power, does he use it? No, not really because of his hands.

He may try using this fight as his last and you never know, he may throw some bombs HERE and there. doesn't mean much however to be honest.

If he throws bombs it will not be early in the fight. More in the later rounds.

Hopkins didn't box Calzaghe he spoiled and Hopkins fans need to admit that!

That said no way does Joe KO Jones, never. People are also forgetting how much naturally bigger Jones is than Joe therefore I think this fight will be closer than people realize and I'm not discounting Jones who has been able to salvage his slide somewhat whereas Calzaghe meanwhile is noticeably worse every fight probably due to his laziness nowadays between fights.

Well that's going to be a serious problem. I've noticed that Calzaghe's skills have declined (throwing more slaps and looping punches) because his hands are more vulnerable to being broken. I mean it was so easy for Hopkins to land that counter-right that knocked Calzaghe down. I couldn't believe how wide and looping his punches were when he fought Hopkins. You watch Calzaghe's past fights his punches didn't look that wide, in his prime he didn't throw any looping punches at all. RJJ will beat Calzaghe, if Calzaghe is not fighting at 100% because he's worried about his hands.

There's always been this big myth aswell that he was a massive puncher in his early days before he busted his hands, which isn't true either. I mean he was a decent puncher, he could hurt guys but he's never had one-punch knockout power. Since he's busted his hands it's become even worse because he won't dare sit down on his punches which is why he slaps.

So RJJ is the measure of a good puncher now? After what happened against Tarver and Johnson, really?

If you think knocking out a faded legend who was getting sparked by mediocre guys like Johnson and Tarver 4 years ago is something to celebrate then you're ****ing sick. If he had the balls to fight Jones 6 years ago or to fight Pavlik right now, then you could come on here and talk about him, but right now the guy is a joke.

What do you mean look at the Jeff Lacy fight?

He landed about 3 million punches and didn't knock him out.

A boxing masterclass yes, but he wasn't powerful, years ago, yeah he had some pop, not now.
