Because I want tos ee RJ put an end to this Calzaghe would beat him garbage. Bernard has a good shot, but I dont think he has the power to keep calzaghe off him, and thats where I think RJ speed and power will be more of a detrament to calzaghe than B-Hop. I think Calzaghe vs RJ would b exciting.
What I dont understand sometime is how is it that people let Calzaghe get by on his resume, and then other people got the nerve to say that RJ never fought nobody in his career?

Can you remember him saying that he'd "never fight beyond 30" about 8 year ago?

I'd like to see in order of preference-

    1. Dawson.
    2.Pavlik.
    3 Woods.

Cant see any more interesting fights for Joe. Once again I'll say that a fight against Jones will be a disgrace. I've no wish to see a once great fighter like jones (who'd of clearly beaten Calzaghe in his prime) get humiliated.

I agree. It would shut some people up for sure Jones has no chin and there is no doubt if they fight at 175 Calzaghe would KO him. If Glen Johnson could KO Jones at 175 so could Calzaghe.

RJ would beat Calzaghe, mark my words. Calzaghe dont wanna even chance it thats why he dont wanna fight. He says he wants big money fights, RJ is willing to fight him at 168 in Wales, and if people dont think that fight would generate money they out to be shot.
Calzaghe knows whats good, 2 fighters got lucky and landed that lucky shot, but Rj still has that handspeed and good power, he might not end up so lucky, so why take the risk.
If I want a big money fight, and I am so superior to this other fighter, and its an easy win, then ehy not do it, easy win, easy money, wats the hold up?
Calzaghe know wats up man. He dont want no parts of RJ.

    1. Roy is obviously the greater fighter, Calzaghe is damn good though.

    2. Prime-Prime Roy beats Calzaghe with relitive ease.

    3. Roy has no legs and would get stopped mid rounds, I would love nothing more than for Roy to turn back the clock but I just dont see it.

    4. Roy's level of competition is much better than Calzaghes.

The legs thing is key because Joe can/would be so aggressive in this fight.

    Watch this:

    http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/Joe%2BCalzaghe/video/x4roa6_joe-calazaghe-not-bad-for-a-slapper_sport

and try to imagine this version of Roy Jones trying to find a way to survive for 12 rounds.

    p.s. Turn the sound down!

Are you serious? I am a big fan of RJJ but this matchup would be a farce. Hopkins would soundly beat him too. I just wish the man would hang up his gloves as he has nothing to prove.

Amen....Its astonishing and quite exasperating that people think Jones is still a superman. I suppose there were similar people around just before Ali took on Holmes.

Veit, Sheika and maybe even Mitchell premature stoppages.

Yep, some of the stoppages were a little silly to say the least. The only one that I was praying to get stopped was the fight against Lacy. I don't give a **** who you were pulling for, it was hard to watch Lacy getting humiliated like that. I lost all respect for his management/corner that night, not that I had much to start with.

I'm not saying anything's fixed in Calzaghe's fights but watching that video, against Mitchell way before the end he's getting on top and glances across to the ref as if to suggest he should stop it there and then.

Personally I didn't see anything wrong with that. Calzaghe was hitting Mitchell at will with little coming back. Trying to get the fight stopped before someone got hurt by waiting for the ref to step in is hardly corrupt. RJJ used to do it often.
