But at that precise moment he gets thudded with a right hand.

I was a bit troubled by that glance the first few times I watched the fight back but then I speculate that after being decked for the first time, Joe just wanted that fight over. And Mitchell was barely able to stand without wobbling.

im serious as cancer, certain fighters matchup well with others. While at this stage of Rj career pressure fighters will give him some trouble, But nobody aint bout 2 outbox RJ. So if Calzaghe think that him being fast is gonna save him and try to outbox RJ he will lose. MARK MY WORDS, RJ is faster and hits harder. Calzaghe knows he can probably overwhelm hopkins because hopkins is slower and doesnt carry a big punch. RJ can catch Calzaghe and KO him, I hope this fight happens so RJ can prove you guys wrong

Prime Roy defeats any version of Calzaghe by a wide UD or even perhaps a stoppage.

But Joe would destroy the version of Roy who faced Tarver (any of the three times) or the Roy who fought Johnson or Tito.

he beat tito easy and looked fast and sharp. please can anyone gie me an example of a calzaghe opponent with the speed of jones. he is the one to expose calzaghe. hopkins may hurt him and rough him up but the foot work of joe should do it for him.

jones has the speed to alllow calzaghe to do nothing. i know that joe wont take this fight because i think the talent within joe and enzo calzaghe isnt enough to beat the once pound for pound number one. a true living legend

Give it a rest mate! Your begining to sound a bit strange.

He may be quick in spurts but he cant maintain it as his energy levels are quite low. His hands are still quick but there's no strength in his legs. He'd get outmanouvered embarrasingly by Joe and many other leading contenders.
Still, if Joe looks awful against Hopkins who knows?

I thought this thread was a windup but im amazed to find its serious. Calzaghe beats Jones like he stole something. Jones has nothing left. He can do about 3 flurries a round without exhausting himself. He is still fast and can punch hard but that gives him a snowballs chance
