I have to laugh at Calzaghes obvious dismissal of Froch in a local welsh newspaper the "Argus". He begrudgingly mentioned Froch and pascal claiming that Pascal was a no body yet I beg to differ. Pascal offered far more of a threat that the shell of Roy Jones Jnr. I think Calzaghe is afraid of Froch...........
Ridiculous post Roy Jones could still kill Froch imo. Pascal had trouble in his last two fights before Froch against guys who were like 15-3 or something like that. Froch is just making himself look stupid he says he won't fight Calzaghe at light heavy but why not if he is so desperate for a fight. I am getting sick of it tbh if Froch goes and beats a good fighter like Mikkel Kessler than I can see why there would be a demand for the fight but he has never been justified in his comments about Calzaghe so far and he changes his opinions about things whenever it suits him.
comon man. although i do think froch would be the biggest test for calzaghe i doubt hes scared. hes more annoyed and a teeny bit 'jealous' if thats what you call it that froch is the wbc champ now and getting headlines. The thing is tho froch has been constantly calling calzaghe out basically when he hasnt really had a rite too- way before he was world champ. i think calzaghe feels hes been making hes name on the back of hes
Calzage afraid of Froch, I dont think anyone is afraid of Froch(who is he) and as far as Calzages statement that boxing is dying ,it is, one of the reasons it is dying is because the undercards of big fights stink. The undercards are opportunites to bring out new stars not waste time. Froch, Dawson,ETC. would not draw flies ....Calzage has no challange worth his while at this point in time
when a 37 year old calzaghe says another fighter is a "nobody"...that means it won't translate into a lot of $$ for him, not that he's scared of him. i have never been a big calzaghe fan, especially since he just took my favorite fighter as a kid out behind the woodshed but i agree that froch needs to beat someone on joe's level before he can start really expecting a shot at joe
typical rjj yank fan- out the wood shed?? your acting like he handcuffed and forced him to fight- rj wanted this fight badly and even went over to london or wales wherever it was to get it sorted. he honestly thought hes win and so did nearly all americans i spoke to. but then when he loses blah blha blah. same thing with pacquaio- its a joke fight this and that then when he wins- oo he was past it and dont give pacman the credit he deserves. btw RJJ is one of my fav ever fighters. watching at hes best is a pleasure to watch but points like these arnt made by boxing fans just love sik puppys of the fighters
Im with Joe on this one ..This is the UK's version of Oscar Delahoya and everyone wants a payd day with the guy ..Froch lkie I said b4 should focus on Taylor and Kessler .Wins over them would most likely force Joe to look his way .
