    It was worthy you posting.

The thread starter has given details and only asked people to come on and debate. Calling people Calzombies can be deemed insulting to some.

If you have a counter arguement it could be interesting to read

So you dont want to talk about how Calzaghe's 21 defenses of his WBO SMW strap is better than Pacquiao's belts at Fly, SBW, FW, SFW, LW, LWW, WW, and LMW.

Again dont you want to discuss how the 21 defenses including:-

    Tocker Pudwill (HOF)
    Mario Veit (ATG)
    Branco Sobot (BUM)

    are better than

    Hoya (Shot)
    Hatton (Fatton)
    Cotto

Roy Jones Jr is not even considered a top 5 win for Calzaghe.

Calzaghe: Kessler, BHop, Eubank, Reid, Lacy
    Pacquiao: Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Cotto,

Eubank was a CW trying to make LHW against Mark prince and then with 2 weeks to go decided to go down to SMW, and then went on to lose another 2 fights.

Losing dont make you worse fight. Calzaghe had some **** names around him, or some past prime's around him so he didnt lose. And when it difficult for him to win against Dawson, Pavlik, BHop 2, Pascal, Froch, Johnson...... he ran off to sniff some coke.

Oscar De La Hoya was a shell of himself when he got destroyed by Pacquiao.

Roy Jones Jr was a shell of himself when he knocked down Calzaghe in round 1 and then got pitter pattered into a bloody mess by Calzaghe.

These aint ATG wins, even if they are over past prime ATG's.

Calzaghe never hurt BHop once in the fight, Hopkins came out of the fight more fresh than Calzaghe so was able to continue.

Pacquiao and his opposition go into wars its understandable how Morales and Margarito called it a day.

    Eubank had weight issues.

    Calzaghe did sniff coke.

You might hate Calzaghe, but Calzaghe had BHop hide and act and get a Golden Globe in that fight.

Fresh out of the fight? Are you serious? Hopkins couldn't breathe anymore and Calzaghe kept becoming more and more dominant as the fight went on.

Actually, watch the fight backward from the 12th round. And score it by the round. You'd give a majority of the rounds to Calzaghe before that freak flash down.

Pac-Man is always going to be held as a greater fighter. The boy has moved up so many divisions and dominated fighters, even if you say they have been cherry picked it is still a very impressive feat.

Calzaghe on the other hand was a great fighter, but never had the confidence and desire to back up his skills. For me these are the things that kill Calzaghe:

1)He left everything too late (B-Hop, RJJ etc) He should have been in America much earlier fighting the likes of Winky Wright, Tarver and Johnson and pushing the top Americans into fights.

2)He should have continued for a couple more bouts. He should never have allowed Pavlik to fight B-Hop and destoryed him himself, then he should have gone on to fight Dawson and Froch. If he had done that and dominated like I expected it would have made up a little bit for the lateness of him starting to fight the names.

    3) He kept his dad as his trainer all is career.

    4) He was far too comfortable picking up the easy fights and money for too long.

I hated on Calzaghe, the guy was a good fighter with a resume that didnt back up his resume.

Hopkin's was more fresh out of the fight, while Calzaghe didnt look that spectacular beating RJJ in his following fight Hopkins went on to school Pavlik and fight Pascal twice.

Calzaghe didnt want a rematch Hopkins did that would have settled it IMO. Both Calzaghe and Hopkins performed alot better in their younger years, Hopkin's went on to show he great, Calzaghe went on to beat RJJ. Hopkins was more physically, and mentally fresh than Calzaghe for him to stick around and Calzaghe to retire when big money fights were appearing on the table.

Calzaghe did look good when beating Jones. Also you forget to say that Hopkins didnt look as good beating Jones coming off of a 1st round KO. Hopkins even went down from a shot that didnt look illegal and needed recovery time. Hopkins could have been counted out if reffereed differently

I'm a huge Calzaghe fan and believe his resume is extremely under-rated by almost everyone here, I believe his resume is better than B-Hop and the fact that he never lost puts him on near equal footing with RJJ.

But you're ****ing bonkers if you think Pacquaio doesn't have a better resume than Calzaghe. His multi weight championships, his defeat of top tier fighters, his back to back to back to back wins over P4P talent. The guy has done things in the sport that no other fighter can boast.

He's a Top 10-15 talent where as Calzaghe is Top 25-30.
