How are they any more idiotic than the threads that claimed "When Kessler wins the super 6 it will prove to you critics how good Calzaghe really was"?

That's like saying Hagler's resume took a hit when Hearns lost to Uriah Grant. He was not the same fighter by then.

Jones vs Green was little more than an exhibition fight. Besides, Green is a former Super Middle world champ and Light Heavyweight world champ.

I never thought Calzaghe NOR his resume was any good...If you take Hopkins and Jones off his resume...ITS F**KING LAUGHABLE!!!!

So the question is...With Jones Losing...And if Hopkins wins...DOES THIS SET UP BUTE VS HOPKINS???

Ward is still an up and comer. You can't compare the two. Ward being an up and comer has already beaten a man that is considered JC's best win after Hopkins. He did it more convincingly too. That doesn't mean Ward beats Calzaghe but let's wait till Ward has completed his career before comparing him to JC. He could go on to achieve much , much bigger wins or he could get knocked out very soon, we don't know.

Who isn't the same fighter? Jones? No **** sherlock, Jones hasn't been the "Same fighter" for the last 6 years. Hence why Calzaghe's victory over him meant absolutely nothing.

But my point being that this can go round and round...for instance check my next quote.

''Ward is a bum, the only guy he beat is somebody that Calzaghe exposed''

Now thats bollox, I know its bollox, but its as valid as saying Czlzaghes resume takes a hit because a ghost of his former slef in RJJ loses to a heavy hitter in 1 round, not to mention the fight was at cruiser weight.

Most people know this, it was a goodbye fight for Calzaghe which came with big money, I would have taken it too if I was in his position. Fighters like Dawson cant draw flies, you can fit all of the Dawson fans in a taxi.

Kessler losing to Ward didn't particularly hurt Calzaghes resume, when Joe fought the guy he was the undefeated WBC/WBA SMW champion and the widely regarded top fighter in the division along with Calzaghe, he's been largely inactive since the fight and Ward is a stylistic nightmare for him. If however, Kessler goes on to be beaten badly by his next two opponents, Froch and Taylor (never going to happen though), this might affect Calzaghes resume.

As for the Jones thing, Calzaghe fighting him was a complete joke in the 1st place.

Jones had a hard time beating Anthony Hanshaw in 2007.....that should just tell you how much Roy has lost.

Jones ko's Hanshaw in 1 in his prime

Green's best weight was 168 and the fight was at 180 pounds..... It was pretty much a light heavyweight fight.
