Don't attempt using logic with Calzaghe fans...

  2. Erm, no. Green has gotten stronger since he left 168. He was good there in his early career, but toward the end he was struggling to make weight and showing up emaciated and drained. Light-Heavy and cruiser are more suited to him.

Jones wasn't even the same fighter that faced Calzaghe!

This fight meant nothing to either fighter's career, and the Jones vs Calzaghe fight is not the reason why Calzaghe is rated so highly.

It was a money fight. Everyone knows that.

Come on, that fight only took place a little over a year ago.

That's the real question why IS Joe rated so highly?

Well that certainly legitimized Calzaghe's legacy, doesn't it?

I fixed your post for you. :good

Danny green dehydrated himself to make SMW. It's a well-known fact. He's a natural LHW.

I dont think the win over Jones was the one he would have based his legacy on anyway.

Besides this fight Green's best preformance was his first fight with Beyer at 168 sooooo Green's best weight WAS 168. Kinda like 130 was Mayweathers best weight. Not saying he's a 130 pounders just saying he WAS..... Get it slick???

And you really cant count 180 as cruiserweight when the division limit is 20 pounds more.

Even if it happened a week after the Calzaghe fight he's still not the same.
On top of that, this was Roy's first ever fight outside the USA and he arrived too late to adjust to the time difference.

Not really. It gave him a name on his resume which is what the haters were saying he needed. then when he wins the excuses come out.

Did you pick Green to win this fight?

Cmon lets get real ere ... JC beat RJJ who beat John Ruiz and he beat Rahman and he beat Lennox Lewis - so JC is the new heavy weight champion of the world ! .... it all means tosh boys ! .... different days , different stages of career , different levels of fitness - its just not relative !

  12. His best fight was his Light Heavy win over Drews, obviously. You clearly dont know much about him, prob cause yr not Australian. Nothing wrong with that, but dont pretend just to defend an error...slick.

It's not over until it's over. Kessler is still in the super six. If Kessler looses to Froch Kessler is finished in my book and "Yes!" then Calzaghe's resume takes a beating.

    Dehydated himself is an understatement!

Against Mundine, Green was forced to come down that much in
weight that he looked like a skeleton - Mundine made sure that
Greens punching power was non existant.

The more Green goes up in weight, the better its always going to
suit him, because he is a power puncher - than hasnt been KO, he
has a granite chin, so going up in weight will only benefit Green.

btw, Green fought Mundine at 166.
Tonight, Green fought jonest at 180.

Green is a natural LHW, I agree.

No I just think that was his best weight and had some of his best preformances. Destroying Genaro Hernandez, Angel Manfredy, Deigo Corrales, Jesus Chavez ect ect

It's a little hard to compared Floyd traveling 5 different weight classes winning so many big fights to Danny Green. Green really only has 3 ood wins in his career. Beyer 1 at 168(which was a DQ lose but he was robbed), Stipe Drews at 175 and RJJ at 180(which you really cant even count it as a good win just a win over a name).

And IMO he was at his best at 168. He was faster and his punches had more effect on his opponent at 168.
