Who didnt Calzaghe fight in the SMW division who was willing to face him?
If he had of fought abroad as an unknown, do you think he would have made more money?
You know the story of Hopkins changing his demands when Joe said he would go to America.
Why should he travel to America, he was champ and the man of the division. But go to America to fight who? He beat Brewer, Mitchell, Sheika, Manfredo and Lacy

So the only 2 fighters Calzaghe didnt face are Jones and Hopkins.
Jones was in a different division, but think, when Jones was fighting at HW it was before Calzaghe KOd B Mitchell, so how well would that have sold?
Hopkins changed his demand and didnt want to know and Jones put in a high price.
Jones beat Hopkins when he was an unknown nobody, not when he was an established fighter, at that time we didnt know if Hopkins would be another Mercado. Toney was a good win.
Calzaghe even at an older age beat some good young fighters

    Yeah OK.
Malinga who lost to Woodhall who loost to Calzaghe
Benn who lost to Eubank who lost to Calzaghe
Toney who was taken to a SD by R Johnson who was taken to a MD by Collins who only beat Eubank by SD who Calzaghe widely beat

No I know it dosent work like that and styles make fights, but id be surprised if you really believe they would all beat Calzaghe

What has Dawson been a Ring champ in 2 divisions. Made 21 title defences. Won WBO, WBC, WBA & IBF titles

Perfect against who though? Regardless, you may disagree, but I find ptotecting the "0" to be more a hindrance to a fighter than a benefit.

Nobody was calling him out because at that point he was basically still an unkown regional fighter with no name recognition and no draw. He was irrelevant at the world level. Not looking to bash him. He was still a terrific fighter, but who knew?
His legacy is at smw, but I think he comes back at lhw. Dawson? I don't know.

Yeah, all the points you are making seem to be leading to Calzaghe beating a much declined Eubank. That logic is very flawed anyway.

No offense Bailey, but you really jump thru hoops to bolster JC's resume and choice of opponents, but now I see you taking the hardline with potential opponents that Joe seems to have missed.

    A more likely scenario.

    1. Elvin Ayala
    2. Andrade again
    3. Some Eastern European Guy who is 14-0 verses his cousins and stepbrothers who are all 5'5"
    4. Tommy Hearns cause age is just a number and he's a legend. Tommy drops him in the first and then gets his ass kicked because he old as ****!

While it greatly boost his standing, top 20 is a lot to ask for a guy who is generally considered on the outside of the top 100 as of now. Just saying.

No way you believe this. I know things were done differently in euro land but come on. Ottke? Anyone? For ten years he fought mostly doorman and bouncers. Don't mention Jones like that is a feather in has cap. Jones was a pile of dust by the time they fought.

They say the last thing to go is the power, but in Joe's case it was the first thing that went. Stay retired son - concerntrate on spending your cash, blowing lines & getting blown by russian blondes.
