Was Brewer better than lacy??? Did Eubank hurt JC more than Kessler??? Bika cut him for the first time so who was his toughest fight??? Lets not forget the Mitchell brawl...........
Hmmm I was gonna mention that but was it a hard fight or just a close one?? Neither guy was in a bad way after the bout.....
Ahh ok Bika was no walk in the park then. He makes Hopkins look like a saint when it comes to the fouls,
This month's Ring Mag had a nice long article on JC, which from what I could interpret was mainly excerpts from his book. (I want the book now!) He, in the article, talked a good bit about Brewer saying he was one of the hardest punchers he'd faced. I think most of the focus in the article on Brewer is that he's from Philly and with the Hopkins fight looming....... It said he could tell when he came to America for the Press Conference he could tell looking in his eyes he was tough as **** and that Brewer has a bullet still in his chest from someone shooting him some years ago. I am def. now a fan of Calzaghe (surely would have been sooner, but I could never see any of his fights).
Sakio Bika Disrupted Joe all the way with dirty tactics n even cut him over his eye first time joe was cut
Calzaghe doesn't have tough fights his opponents simply get opportune moments where they'll fight him with either an injury (Reid) or with him totally underestimating them and not training (Bika).
its a great book just finished it but misses abit about joes personal life , but he talks about all his greatest fights n mentions how his life with his dad was up n down but always stood by and even talks about when he met mike tyson n his dad was tellin mike to smile to the camera! lol n talks bout joe in a gay nightclub in miami with his dad n enzo funny read also talks bout how some fat italian guy was chasing him through the woods when he was still young after joe bumbed into him by accident lol it has definally got some stories but misses a bit out worth a buy m8
Was Eubank close to beating JC??? I never saw the fight.. ID SAY the Brewer fight was the toughest.. Lacy was the easiest- that was a sparring session for JC.
The Kabary Salem fight was definitely a mentally tough one....Joe wasnt right that time...he got into a fight at the weigh in and even got knocked down by a bum thats as dirty as Bika after he's been rolling in mud!!
Mentally challenging how:huh Lacy was tailor made for him, and JC faced guy's that were just as good if not better than Lacy, Brewer, Eubank,,Reid... JC knew after the 1st round (with Lacy) he was gonna win when he went back to Enzo and said Lacy HITS like a little *****
