good body attack. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiK9deXVz80[/ame] Calzaghe(17-0) fights fellow undefeated prospect Mark Delaney (21-0). The Arena is filled with Delaney fans who literally spit on Calzaghe. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62b7fqLSv0M[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhybgFZ6GPE&feature=related[/ame]
shock horror I posted this yestrday and checked it expecting a load of anti calzaghe responses...but I didn't get ANY responses!!! No accusations of early stoppages in either of these fights I suppose
wait for cum guzzling popkins to log on, he will bash the thread with all 10 of his alter-ego's just because calzaghe beat his racist idol borenard hopkins
**** that ****, let him talk but hey, he likes inside fighting, he likes hopkins "old school tactics" so maybe he will appreciate calzaghes old school infighting tactics if he watches the videos (old school being dirty, pro style tactics, which calzaghe employs even in delaneys home ground fight, so dont blame it on biased refereeing.)
Before his hands were completely ****ed he really could punch. Shame the whole 'slappy' gang never acknowledge this.
and remember the delaney brothers and their fans had reputations as roguh, violent thugs outside the ring (is garry still inside for manslaughter) so calzaghe deserves props for putting a beatdown on mark and shutting his fans up within the first minute of the first round the pressure didnt get to him thats for sure.
mark delaney wasnt a bum mate he was a complete and utter cockhead, but a bum he was not, if you hate calzaghe, ask some people what delaney was like as a person and you will cheer for the fact that calzaghe beat the **** out of him.
i suppose you could call Minton a "bum" if you want to use disrespectful terms, but he did last a lot longer with the 6 world champs he was in with than he did with calzaghe, I dont think he even got a punch off vs Calzaghe.
h did fight a good few bums and a good few old men, but not all of the time :deal watch the delaney fight and listen to the silence of the crowd who spat on him when h started knocking the **** out of delaney, who was built up as some hard street tough. edit: and by the way, professionally delaney was a decent fighter and highly touted by the brits at this time...
Almost every part of Calzaghe's game is underrated because 1) he came out of nowhere for the general public that is always brainwashed in favor of the network-grown fighters and 2) due to his hand problems and unusual style, he was tagged 'slapper' and people refused to look beyond the way of fighting, again because there was not much of a hype, biased writing, commentary behind him and the (international) public didn't see him over long years.
