hector jnr was originally scheduled to face Demitri(sp) Salita on the garcia v judah card back in feb.

 

Oh yeah, I remember that being hyped up a while back. They were expecting that to boost attendance even though neither Camacho Jr. nor Salita are themselves all that relevant.

Yep, he avenged his father's draw five months earlier. It's so weird how they were both campaigning simultaneously - at not too dissimilar a level - with the son already way past his prime. :blood

 

As sad as it was to see JLC struggle mightily against Smith, you could tell he was at the very least determined. The spirit is willing, even if the body can't much hold up its end of the bargain anymore.

That determination might pay off. Power is the last thing carried off the luggage carousel, and Camacho is packing GLASS.

Since getting smashed by Lemieux, he was KTFO again last summer by a Mexican prospect.

It should be a Camacho UD, as he does possess more than enough finesse to in theory avoid the very decelerated and blown-up Castillo (who already was punching above his weight and beyond his best days at light welter, let alone now at light middle...) and box his face in...but El Temible has a genuine puncher's chance here. :happy :freddy
