Hector would be too much for Julio to handle at this point, was a different fighter back in 1984 than he would be 8 years later.Julio would make a go of it, but Hector wins a strong decision.

Camacho runs circles around Chavez in a not close decision.

This goes similar to Chavez-Taylor except for the end. Hector has the chin and survivability skills to motor for 12 or 15 rounds and pile up all the points with his speed.

It’s fairly one-sided on the cards as JCC never really gets much going.

Lol at the people who think Camacho would have dominated Chavez in 1984. Camacho would have never beaten Chavez!

    This is absolute prime Camacho

At this juncture Hector had fought world class competition at both 130 and 135 lbs

Chavez had piled up wins in Mexico and a few in LA with his best win being a decision over tough fringe contender Adrian Areolla

This fight really should have happened but for whatever reason Hector jumped to 135 lbs. I guess weight issues were taking a toll

If Hector could make the weight comfortably then I envision him using his exquisite speed, decent power, strong chin and underrated defense to post a UD against the pre prime JC Chavez

Camacho looked quite brilliant against Jose Luis Ramirez in 1985. In retrospect Ramirez was a damn good world class fighter. Hector beat him easier than Rosario or Chavez did.

Prime Camacho had many of the attributes of prime Whitaker but for various reasons didn't hold his prime form for too long

Chavez was the no. 1 WBC mandatory challenger for champion Hector Macho Camacho, who relinquished his title to move up to 135 lbs. Then Chavez fought Mario Martinez, Julio stopped Martinez, KO 8, to capture the WBC 130 lb title
