He could handle Pac's power, probably his speed, but the big thing is his stamina.

No way Camacho could hold up to 12 rounds of Pacquiao's bombs.

Young Pacquiao was a unique fighter. One who could maintain a 1st round workrate for 12 rounds. Very unique stamina.

Like I said in my post, I think it would be a close decision, but towards the end, I see Camacho hurting too...I think Pacquiao would be worse than Rosario...as far as Camacho being gunshy afterward. Pacquiao was a terror at those lower weights.

What a fight! I would pick Camacho by close decision. I remember seeing him at 130 and my jaw literally dropped. I was in total awe of his hand and foot speed; the way he moved. Just such a natural talent. RIP Macho Man.

On an unrelated note, it's mind boggling to me how men like Arturo ghatti, Virgil hill and numerous others are in the hall of fame but hector camacho isn't. On a more relevant tone, I think camacho has a shot against anyone at 130.. Though his stay there was short, he displayed a level of speed, skill, precision and work rate that only comes around once in maybe two or three lifetimes. Would he beat PAC in that class? Maybe.. But I disagree with anyone who says manny would would hand him a stoppage.. Hector was never stopped in a career spanning nearly three decades, 88 fights and numerous meetings with world class men..

Pacquiao from 122-130 was one not the more vicious fighters we've ever seen. Of course he was no technical marval.

But if there is one thing he could do it was bang for 12 rounds.

Difficult fight, one has to remember Chavez punished Camacho with much slower steady fighting...PacMan can punch and fights more like Camacho himself....I think pacman if he has the power at that weight.

I was a big Camacho fan in the early 90's never studied him really...I remember he was a beast on tue. night fights,im not sure what weight class he was at at that time? I knew one of his body guards that used to go with him,he wasn't such a big fan of him out of the ring....

If Marquez could make Pacman look decidedly ordinary at 126, and 130 it doesn't bear thinking about how stupid Camacho could make him look.

Styles makes fights and Marquez is recognized as a pretty damn good fighter who has the potential to trouble any featherweight.
