Camacho, oddly enough, I think would have run like a thief...unashameably, all night...he wouldn't have let Edwin near him and would have won a most unpopular decision. One thing about Hector...he may have been crazy, but he sure as hell wasn't stupid...the guy could box..and he looked out for number one in the ring...you bet he would have run away with the decision..

Camacho had better legs and speed all around for Rosie........... Rosie had the power with good hand speed, but not very fast on his feet............ PLUS! By 1991 at the heavier weight of 140 pounds, that too would pay dividends for Camacho....... Same result with Camacho winning over 12 rds........... Rosie always tuff, but too slow to close the gap and pile up points......... Its Macho Time---again...........

Hector Camacho was, despite his being such a disapointment, a great fighter...and if it weren't for Rosario scaring the hell out of him in that first fight, he would have been even greater..up there with his countryman Wilfredo Gomez.

Camacho was simply a better fighter than Edwin.

Many believe Rosario beat him. Including most of Puerto Rico.

that's because of the machismo factor. I think Macho won the first fight, though.

Rosie has TWO or THREE good rds.......... The rest was owned by Camacho and his legs / speed....... I have the fight from '86 on tape......... It was great HBO boxing...... Camacho gets the close call...... Peace....

    Mr. Thomas,

In a way, YES!!!! BUT!!! The scores are deceiving....... The rds that Camacho won were close...... Too close............ Even if I scored the fight lopsided on points for Camacho, I know goddamn well the fight was better than that......... 10-9 is not bad scoring all through the fight....... And just cause Rosie ROCKED Camacho 2X very well is still not enough to give him a full or honest 10-8 rd / rds...... I have a CLEAN HBO tape of this fight from my archives...... I like this fight.......... But I give Camacho the nod by edging Rosie in MOST of the rds....... Great boxing.........

I think Camacho won the fight pretty clearly, but he lost rounds on the scorecard because of the fact that he started running after he got buzzed. The way Camacho fought was considered cowardly, kind of like the way MAB fought in the second Pacqiou fight. He didn't react well to the pressure Rosario put on him. I never saw a fighter change his style from one beating.
