so he finally has grown enough balls to fight other men instead of picking on boys in the ams…..he’ll be nothing as a pro, he’s too old and he got whupped by a young boy version of Povetkin 3 times in the ams! dumbass should have turned pro after last olympics and he woulda had a small chance of doing something but he waited 4 more years only to get robbed haha serves him right for picking on boys when he’s a grown man fully capable of fighting other grown men.

and are you shitting me with thinking he can be beat Arreola right now? Arreola would kill him when he takes his helmet off, he would feel the power a man and fold like the career am is he.

4 years too late to make a serious go of it, unfortunately.

That said, he can still be matched softly and make good money as a pro without really pushing himself so maybe that's the route he goes. He probably has enough in him to make it to the top 10 if he seriously pursues it, but he won't be a top level heavyweight IMO.

He really should've gone pro after winning the gold in Beijing. Maybe he would've even landed a fight with Wlad by now had he done that. Better late than never I guess.

If he wanted to go pro he shouldve done it 4 years ago after the gold...seems like an odd decision.

As someone has already said though if Matt Skelton can take up boxing late and do well, why not Cammerrelle?

Cammarelle and Russo would both suck as pros. The Italian style is completely tailored toward the amateur scoring system, which is great but that's why they're still amateurs in their 30's. I personally find them both unwatchable.

He'll end up a fringe contender and then retire after one defeat.

He should have turned pro after Beijing. Still not too late, the way the HW division is at he could get himself into title contention within 2 years.

I'd watch him. I think he'd make some noise in the division.

Even though I'm not impresed by what I've seen of Camarelle. I wouldn't be surprised if he's fast tracked to an EBU championship within 18 months of turning pro. Which means that 30 months after turning pro he may be fighting for a world championship.
