Yeah, he's damaging his health, hurting his conditioning, his stamina. You wouldn't be surprised to see this kind of act from De la Hoya/Mayweather/Pacquaio but It's really frustrating coming from a 25 year old so called Mexican warrior.

I can only remember Canelo as Floyds only CW fight, The JMM fight technically was supposed to be a CW fight but he came in at 146 rather then 142-144, no? Breaking contract and having to pay monetary compensation to JMM, so should we technically count that as a CW fight? JMM did come in at 142 2 pounds over the minimum WW limit.

    Just the Canelo fight.
Mayweather didn't honor the catchweight vs Marquez, but even if he did that should'nt be counted against him as he isn't the one that set the catchweight. The catchweight was negotiated and set by JMM as he was moving up two weight divisions.

Canelo is a moneymaker. They gonna avoid opponents like Golovkin as long as possible.

I wouldnt be surprised if Gennady accepted those terms. Unifying the titles means more to him than money. Just another reason to love the Kazakh wrecking machine they call GGG ;)

Juan Manuel Marquez accepted close to those terms for his 2nd fight with Manny Pacquiao.
Team Pacquiao was looking to get a fight signed with David Diaz within a matter of days, boxing fans were clamoring for a JMM rematch.

For those of you who weren't following the sport then, Marquez had just fought MAB in what was billed as an eliminator for the right to fight Manny Pacquiao.
Marquez beat MAB, but Pacquiao chose to fight the loser MAB instead.
When Pacquiao beat MAB, he then announced that he was moving up to 135 lbs to fight David Diaz. Boxing fans all over the world got on Pacquiao's case for trying to skip away from 130 lbs without first facing the only real threat that was really there in Juan Manuel Marquez.
Even the boxing media in the Phillipines were on Pacquiao's case.

To make it look like he wasn't ducking Marquez, team Pacquiao threw out a proposal to team Marquez that was meant to be rejected. The proposal had Marquez' cut to be less than 25% of the fight purse.
Instead of rejecting it as team Pacquiao thought he would, Marquez went to the media and announced, "I'm letting Pacquiao dictate terms. I've agreed to every stipulation in the fight proposal they have just given me, I'm ready to sign!"

    Remember that Beouche???

At that point, Marquez had just had his fill of team Pacquiao's excuses to not want to fight him, so he called their bluff and the rest is boxing history. We all know who won all 4 fights! :deal:yep

Sure would be badass of Golovkin to do the same as Marquez and call on a GBP/team Canelo bluff. :D

You think Golovkin will accept less than a 25% cut as JMM did for the Pacquiao rematch???

As long as Canelo vacates, I have no problem with him imposing 155 or no fight stance to anyone.

    :deal:deal:deal

Golovkin reminds me of Marquez in a lot of ways. Both immensely skilled ultimate warriors who put pleasing the fans and fighting the best on fair terms (or even on unfair terms as both Manny and Floyd forced JMM to do) before money

you need to educate yourself about what conditions he fought juan, and how many times he ran and ducked him

he cowardly avoided his biggest challenge for years, thank god karma caught up with the smoke and mirrors cowardly draining roiding piece of **** that had so many uneducated baaxing fans fooled :fire:fire:fire
