Campbell-Bradley ruled a No Contest/ Almost come to blows!

So any fighter can pull out a fight that's not going their way if they claim they're seeing spots?

Boxing is a business also. If it's the 3rd round and your cut and have a chance to end it instead of risking the loss because of a disadvantage than that's understandable. Glad they ruled like this and it was right. Nobody knows what would have happened. I thought bradley was gonna punch himself out later on. He threw around 150 punches in that 3rd round and nate wasn't swinging hardly so who knows what would have happened. I had bradley up 3-0 but that doesn't mean anything LOL. I just think this was the right decision for a man that deserved a break.

Rounds 1 and 2 were close. Bradley poured it on AFTER the headbutt, in case you clowns forgot.

I agree Bradley wins a rematch, but this is the correct decision, and any reasonable person wouldnt debate otherwise.

 

Well, if he doesn't want to conduct himself as being a warrior then he better get out of the sport. It's a violent sport Vazquez had a torn retina and he fought through that for 9 rounds. You are expected to be a warrior in this sport it's a risk you take when you step into the ring.

True Campbell could have been completely OWNED by Bradley if that fight continue but for the sake of fairness and justice . . . it's all good for a rematch.

If Campbell refuses a rematch . . . then I call him a *****.

How many of you guys have gotten a bad headbutt in the ring? And then lost vision in your eye, while also being 12 years older than who your fighting against, knowing before the headbutt you needed your gameplan to go perfect or you will most likely lose.

And you also know, When and if you lose, the money you'd lose (whether immediately or in the future) would directly effect the well being of your family.

Cmon fellas relax a bit, an old timer wouldnt of quit I know that, but **** man you guys are murdering our boxers nowadays. The matchmakers/promoters/sanctioning bodys have everything in their favor to take as much money from a boxer as they can, so if the boxer is smart enough to know he'll get away with a nc and get another decent fight he can hopefully win so be it.

Does is suck boxing is like this now? Yes. But hate the people that make these fights happen not the boxer (at least not as much). Those of us that step in the ring are merely creatures of our environment.

Some know how to work the system more than others. Would jmm of acted how campell did, even if his complaint was legit? NO.

Before you guys murder me, IM NOT COMPARING somone like campell to a mordern day great such as marquez, just trying to stand up for what I think is fair.

A man that wants a payday for his family I have a hard time hating, but if its for greed then my above argument means nothing for the boxer involved.

I only give this argument for the truely honest fighter, which i go out on a limb a say campell is. Even after he got his ass ko'd for being stupid, but you live you learn.

 

Exactly man. The nickname "warrior" should only be if that fighter don't take an easy way out. Juan Diaz got a cut in the same left eye in the first round by a headbutt from who? Nate Campbell? But instead of taking an easy way out, Diaz fought like a warrior. Same with Cotto in the Clottey fight.

nobody ever said the cuts came from a punch.....the ref, dr and corner said it was ok for nate to continue.....nate quit cause he couldn't see....turns out what he had behind his eye can be caused by punches too...
