Why dont you like this matchup? Is it because you think it will be boring or that there are better fights to be made? I personally feel it will be great fight with two closely matched top level opponents, something we don't always get these days.

I got Guzman by close UD:good

Guzman will outclass Campbell - after that I want him to face Pacquiao and show who is IN FACT the real p4p no. 1 after Floyd's retirement...

A shame that he would lose all but one of those fights.

pac was supposed to fight the winner of soto-guzman although arum after the fight change his mind. Guzman is a stylistic nightmare for pac, or for everyone. Same as marquez to pac both styles are bad for pac although arum felt and believe pac will win in a marquez fight rather than a guzman fight based on their first match.

I think if guzman ever wins i doubt it a fight with pac gets made, hatton is the next one they're gunning for.

Anyway with all that said, pac is not avoiding guzman if he fights hatton as hatton is a more bigger risk for pac rather than guzman. the only difference with guzman and hatton is hatton is high risk, high reward(money). While guzman is high risk, low reward

This is a 50/50 fight for both.

Campbell has all the tools to beat Guzman . . . so don't count him out. I'm picking Guzman though.

guzman @135 will again lose some of his speed and his already diminished punching power. his light punching will certainly not bother a big, 135lber in campbell. campbell may just be able to walk through his punches.

guzman may resort to light hitting and running just to score points and possibly win. but campbell is definitely no slouch in the speed dept. so he can certainly keep up w/ guzman unlike soto who is much slower than him. guzman relies a lot on his speed and reflexes but the move up to 135 can have a negative effect on these.

sure he does. if he has the balls to challenge the top 140 lbs. fighter of the world in Hatton, then there's no problem fighting the top 135 pounders. the only problem is schedule.

its gonna be interesting to see who the bookies will favor on this one when the odds come out

expect relatively close odds that will probably lean towards Campbell

where have you been hiding for the last two years. we've been having the best fighters fighting each other on a weekly basis for a long time already. suddenly guzman stands out to you as the top level fighter we've not been having for a long time since? guzman's getting way too overrated here for his not so impressive performances against gatekeeper-level barrios and soto.

Yeah, Pac may have a style disadvantage to Guzman, but as you said as well, JMM does too, but JMM is also known as one of the best technician's today and Pac still defeated him.. JMM has more pop than Guzzy too, so I believe Guzman would be easier than JMM for Pac.. Not saying by a lot though.. I don't see Pac fighting anyone tougher for him than JMM, besides Hatton...

Exactly what I'm thinking.. Everyone keeps talking about Pacquiao losing power and speed and yada yada, but never mention Guzman or even JMM for that matter.. I'm not saying he'll lose both speed and power dramatically, but his power isn't all that already and does rely on his speed mostly.. Everyone's underestimating Campbell as well..

    :thumbsup

I pray that this fight will come off.

Guzman needs recognition as soon as possible. If he beats a highly motivated Campbell clearly (like he most likely will), then he should be recognized by everybody as the man at 135.
