Campbell-Guzman is a go.....

It'll be a reality soon. When Guzman is a top P4P fighter and a locked ATG all of you people will eat your words.

 

Wow, the Lightweight division sure has shaped up, almost overnight, ever since the departure of the class of 2005.

Casamayor-Diaz, though not the fight I wanted Casamayor to be in, is a very good match-up, and will be very difficult for the Cuban champion. But he is very active, and has an underate punch. This, with Diaz overated defense, makes this a Casamayor victory, I think.

Campbell-Guzman seems like an even match-up, but I since trouble for the "Galaxy Warrior". He punches hard, has great stamina, and hand-speed that often offsets opponents. But he fights in spurts, which may not fare well with Guzman, who has sick handspeed and workrate. I might go on the record and pick Campbell, though this fight's result is far from certain.

Michael Katsisdis is fighting Jesus Chavez, on the same Casamayor-Diaz card This fight will be awesome, as both are very aggressive. The real question mark here is Chavez, who has been terribly inactive the last few years. His last fight was an embarassing TKO at the hands of Julio Diaz. But I smell upset, maybe because of Chavez boxing ability, maybe because of his technique, or maybe because of Katsidis somewhat reckless, exciting style. I'm backing Chavez, via unanimous decision, with a late knockdown sealing the deal.

Casamayor fights Diaz ... Katsidis is fighting Jesus Chavez.

The biggest loser of these fights appears to be Marquez, who was pushed out of the picture.

That's what I think is the problem - instead of giving Marquez a fight, he is getting the boot.

I mean, Jesus Chavez didn't do anything to earn a top-10 quality bout, but he gets one anyway.

BTW, I'm picking Chavez over Katsidis. He has the technique and boxing skill to match well with Katsidis less than clever style. :yep

 

I don't go around saying Guzman will beat PBF one day to secure his spot as #1 P4P ATG like some certain middle aged Pinoy nuthuggers who think Concepcion is a future superstar.

I think Juan Diaz-Jesus Chavez would make more sense, and yes, Casamayor-JMM would be absolutely GREAT!!!:happy

man chavez is shot...they should have guys like sta cruz, peterson, kid diamond, raheem in the mix somewhere.
