I think that Campbell has shown good defense since his losses to Robbie Peden ... he's been keeping his hands up more and he's been walking guys down and becoming an aggressor against his opposition.

He also has been breaking guys down with his body attack ... Funeka was his lattest victim and his body punching didn't show until the latter part of the fight ... and it showed dramatically.

    He won.

Like Suge said to him yesterday on OTG, 'you don't lose the people's championship on the scales'.

He's going to turn some heads at 140 if he fights the right people ... I can see him doing well against the winner or the loser of the Pacquiao v Hatton fight --

Yeah, Campbell is good and a very good adittion to the jr. welterweights. I think he'll put on some exciting fights there and cause the top boys some trouble.

He didn't really gain that much of an advantage.

Being 6'1" Funeka probably re-hydrated to come in the heavier on fight night anyway, though I didn't see the fight I wouldn't know if they had the on the night weights.

He had a 2.5LB advantage, Funeka gave away 2.5LB's anyway even if Nate came in at 135 by weighing in himself at 133.5, and the fact that he only lost half a pound in 2 hours and is now moving to 140 suggests he had great difficulty in getting to 137.5/138 anyway, and was probably slighty weight drained.

Campbell didn't have an advantage in that fight ... Funeka had good speed and movement ... he had the advantage ... longer reach ... taller ...

and he was the heavier fighter that night. He came in at 149 while Campbell came at 147. I think the weight struggle hurt Campbell's perfomance a bit.

Yes but he payed his santioning fees so he will be ranked high. He wont have a hard time getting a title shot at 140. Maybe not against Hatton or pac but he can get urango bradley/holt winner.

His body work was the most impressive. Who does a body attack like that nowadays? Cotto before the Margo fight.
