Ryder, Chisora and Dalton Smith have headlined Matchroom cards this year but all 3’s next fight is on another platform because it’ll get them more money. Not good signs for Pedward. Liam Smith has left, Okolie wants to leave, Benn is a cheat, Buatsi doesn’t dare fight anyone... who else have they genuinely got left? Just the Leeds Headbutter?
Lol so when he starts randomly knocking people out we know why. Sadly the kid is hopeless and it's debatable if he's good enough to win an area title let alone sell PPVs.
I'd imagine Chisora was getting to the point of loss-making fights for DAZN so they're probably not that bothered.
These guys are hopeless and will lose as soon as they step up. Hearn will have to manage Buatsi & Okolie well and hope they'll sell out arenas. Okolie needs to move up to heavyweight.
Its the fact that Eddie preached for years about how everyone wants to come to Matchroom. Remember that line he said. Go out and see what EVERYONE has to offer and then come back and sign with Matchroom. It's that kind of talk that when things are not going rosy for you, people remember and realise that they do have other options and Matchroom isn't the only option around nowadays. Eddie has always believed that he'd always stay the best looking bird in the room. Fact is, he's not now and I think that's clear. He's not finished by any means but he should remember he needs other promotors/fighters to make big fights so putting their nose outta joint isn't going to work anymore.
I think he's crossed too many people now. His style of we control all the terms promoting stop a lot of good fights getting made in the past. Now he's on a relatively small platform it'll just make him fade into obscurity.
He could get to British level if he signs up to Dr Usman's practice. But would Eddie take the risk of putting him in with Mayweather's daughter to settle the family beef on a £49.99 PPV? She seems pretty hard based on her criminal record.
They like to get him on to talk about his order from his local Chinese. It is highly entertaining stuff, find myself on the edge of my seat.
If people can watch an entire card of women's boxing and say it was entertaining then anything is possible.
I don't get this constantly dissing Campbell Hatton thing that's in fashion with the boxing community. Obviously everyone knows he's looked poor so far. He's a young guy trying his best, I just don't see the need for the negativity. It's not like he has a mouthy unlikeable deluded personality or something.
I like him. I think he was gifted an early decision but it's not his fault. He seems quite self deprecating like his father
