With that weird logic, no one at 168 would have to beat Kessler in order to be on top. Wins over Miranda, Allan Green and the recently demolished Jermain Taylor should make any man the king of 168lbs....

If he does then I can't say anything about him and will be happy but if he doesn't I will always question his resume.

Well....Wlad Klitschko has beaten: Byrd, Austin, Rahman, Thompson, Brewster, Brock, Peter, Williamson, McCline, Mercer, etc...and those wins certainly haven't convinced a **** load of people that he is the best...

The race card is a waste of debate...

Wlad and his brother are the two best in the world. I don't like them but I respect them as the best anyone who doesn't has no credibility.

last I heard Mayweather got owned by an Asian in sparring for calling him a chinaman

and schooled by a white boy in sparring...now we know why Floyd avoids white american fighters

    Great point.

We all thought Ali was avoided the best fighters - the Asian fighters!

We all thought they would be too fast for Ali.

If he beats Cotto then that proves he can legitimately hold his own against welters. PBF, Mosley, Berto, Clottey, 4 of the top 5 welters are black.

If he loses to Cotto bad, showing that welter may be to much for him. He has Bradley, Holt and possibly Lamont Peterson if he is able to upset Bradley in there upcoming fight. That would probably move him to the number 2 in welter weight rankings. There is also Devon Alexander there at junior welter.

There is about 8 African American contenders in Jr Welter and Welter

But other then PBF, Mosley, maybe Berto, there may not be big money in those fights as I don't know if those are the fights that fight fans want to see other then die hard fans. At 140, money wise JMM for the 3rd time would probably make more money. There is also Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at 147 that many fight fans may want to see if he couldn't strike a deal with PBF.

Pac vs Bradley or Lamont Peterson would be interesting but the risk may not be worth the reward since those guys aren't big time names yet. But there are plenty of options now.

I know this may be a bit off-point but,

does anybody know who the fighter that Nate Campbell mentioned loosing his eyesight is?

I believe the name was Hymie Palmer but I can't find anything.
