Seriously Campbell has a point. He is talking about slick African American fighters. Anyone who watches boxing and you say "Traditional Mexican" styled fighter the image of a hard punching take one to give one brawler comes to mind. There are great examples of other groups doing the same, but you know what the man means. Athletic boxers and boxer/punchers. That style just happens to be favored by many people of African descent. The doesn't mean there aren't examples of other nationalities too. Stop making it into something it isn't.

Why did Diaz get the shot and not Kendal Holt? Kendal knocked Diaz out back in 2005. He had belts if you make that the issue. So how did Diaz get selected not Holt?

Why did Ricky get the shot and not and not Campbell or Bradley? They both had belts. Hatton had just be whipped by Collazo and KOed by Mayweather. So how did he get the shot?

Because Kendall Holt is a 140 pounder and fought Diaz at 140. The MP-Diaz fight was at 135, as Diaz was the champ at 135 at that time. Once again, Pac did not ask Diaz to go down to 135 but Diaz is one of the belt holders at 135 and if i'm not mistaken the WBC belt.

Pac was testing his feet at 135 and he fought soem would say the weakest (which I disagree) champion at 135, with all telt being held by fighters with Diaz as last name. They are after a belt at 135.

David Diaz actually fought as high as 147 pounds which is a welterweight division and fought in light welter to welter by at least 7 times.

135-Diaz was a test plus he couldn't refuse the 10-15 million payday for fighting oscar
140- he beat hatton who was the # 1 jr welterweight
And now he just fought and beat cotto who was rank # 3 welterweight at the time and has a victory over the current # 1 welterweight shane mosley.

 

Hahaha! thats some shallow thinking there. Pac avoided them to fight fighters better than them. There's no better black fighter than Pac south of 140. Now 147 is filled with talented slick fighters, and there are already talks that Pac may well be fighting the slickest of them all. Nate wont last against Pac.

 

It is a style that happens to coincide with skin color. Nate isn't articulate enough to express it, but anyone who knows boxing knows what he means:
