Campbell v Brizuela

nice step up not sure if it will backfire though im not convinced Campbell is a fully fledged lightweight, the guy was boxng at 56kg on a same day weigh in two years ago

 

I wouldn't read too much into that mate, i have personally witnessed amateur boxers taking off 3kg the night before even during tournaments when they have to weigh in every day but one of the worst I saw first hand was Brad Saunders who used to put on 4-5 kg after weigh in!! going into the fight he would be 68-69kg and if he won he would train after his bout with sweatsuits on to get his weight down again!

Now I'm not sure exactly how much Luke Campbell used to put on but the one thing i have noticed is that he has built a bit more muscle to his frame and he looks bigger and stronger than when he was amateur so I'm sure he is now a fully fledged Lightweight imo.

 

Luke never put much on at all not even between tournements but hes moved up in weight properly hes a full LW and fast and strong at the weight.

He will deal with brizuela and coyle comfotably IMO

 

Ok mate, just thought it was a bit odd as most people usually move down in weight, when they turn over.

What's Tommy Coyle tweeting that for? Anyway I fully expect Luke Campbell to do a better job on Brizuela than Coyle did.
I wonder who Coyle will be fighting that night probably a step down from Brizuela. Coyles going backwards IMO. Very frustrating.

Coyle is already banging on about him and Campbell next year because he knows its going to be his career highlight. Hes got fantastic talent but lacks a boxing brain, hes too rash and gets hotheaded leaving his defences wide open

 

Witter was good though. If Coyle tweeted this then the fight between Campbell and Brizuela probably isn't happening. I think Coyle's just trying to make out he's further up the ladder than actually is and Campbell's picking up his leftovers.
I reckon Campbell would fight Coyle next, but I can understand them building it up a bit for Hull, but seriously I hope the promoter doesn't hang it out too long because it will turn out to be a serious anti-climax. Campbell will get shot of him in a few rounds.

 

The brizuela fight is on for oct counting he gets thro the next couple with no hiccups eg cuts ect. And your right Luke would have boxed tommy on his debut

 

Coyle & Campbell is nothing like and won't be anything like Witter/Hatton...

Not long ago they were posting pictures of being out on a run together. It's a big fight for Hull + bragging rights + a good pay day, that's why Coyle is after it.

 

It's on for October...oh well then, good I wish Luke well then, but I don't think he'll need it.

Personally I would have liked to have seen Scott Harrison fight Tommy Coyle in a tune up before his fight with Ricky Burns later in the year. It would take Scott a few rounds to shake the cobwebs off, but he would soon catch up with Tommy and break his ribs with body shots. I mean we seen the state Coyle was in with half pint Brizuela. I know it won't happen though as they will be keeping Tommy wrapped up in cotton wool until the Campbell fight.

 

Yeah they'll be making sure Tommy is kept on the burner for Campbell so can't see a fight with Harrison or the sort coming off in the near future.

Although that is a fight I'd watch. We all know Harrison might not be the force he once was, but he can still fight and Tommy's a brave ****er as well he won't care.

 

Aye, it would be an exciting match, at the same time a good tune up for Scott. Tommy's speed and movement against Harrison pressure would make it interesting while it lasted. Harrison's one tough ******* and Tommy although very brave is fragile. Harrison would be too much for him IMO and would stop Coyle in about 4 to 6 rounds. We both agree it won't happen though as Coyle's promoter will keep him bubble wrapped.
