Interesting you mentioned this fight, I felt Campbell was jobbed with the decision .

Many here think Campbell is just an inside fighter because of the J.Diaz fight but Nate can box brilliantly and the Issac fight was a good indication of that, he kept circling him and went in and out aiming for the body.

I now feel more comfortable in picking a wide decisionfor Campbell.

I'm really not convinced by Funeka at all. He looks to be powerful and rangy but somehow it just doesn't make sense at all, it doesn't seem to all come together. I mean you look at his resume, 2 draws early on and then knocks out a load of cans, first time he steps up he loses to Mzonke Fana, hardly a world-class fighter, albeit only a MD.

Continues to knock out bums, steps up again to fight a guy with a 16-1 record and only gets a SD win, and gets put down despite the guys relatively low KO ratio. Did redeem that by spotting him in 9 in a rematch later on though. Continues to knock out relatively poor fighters, faces Yakubu Amidu and only gets a MD win, and Amidu later gets stopped by feather-fisted super feather Ricky Burns. Then the Raheem win, great win but Raheem clearly wasn't the same fighter, plus he got hit after the bell.

    iT doesn't make sense . . . until it happens. :D

I'm not decided yet on my final pick but I'm still leaning in an upset. Funeka lost to Fana 7 years ago at 130 when he was just 24 years old . . . he is now 31 and fighting at 135 . . . 31 is just the peaking age for boxers while Campbell is 37 . . . who do you think will be affected by long lay offs more?

Mayorga was fighting bums before he beat forrest right?

Just my thoughts. I still want to see the weigh in pix before making my final pick.

i like nate campbell but i think inactivity will be a major concern despite the fact that it wasnt his fault that the fight with guzman didnt happen. i havent heard much of ali funeka but i saw clips of his fight with zahir raheem on youtube and i think he will cause a lot of problems for campbell i cant really judge but i would like to see nate campbell get at least a big fight in the future but i hear that funeka is a dangerous fight for campbell cant wait until saturday

I'm not confident in Funeka at all...but I'm also not that confident with Campbell. Nate is a very streaky fighter and it's entirely possible that he'll come up lame here against Funeka. Remember he hasn't had a fight since June-ish, has had one fight canceled and isn't a young man either.

I'm picking Campbell for now but those picking Funeka in an upset aren't crazy.

That's right a lot of problem for Nate . . . take note that Raheem is a "joker" kind of fighter . . . the fighter who like SPINX doesn't stay in one place . . . you KO a guy like Spinks or Raheem . . . THEN you must be fast or just lucky . . . :D
