Campbell wants JMM sooner than November . . .

I think that Pacquiao doesn't like fighting those no-names like Solis because there is no challenge. Arum can give him one once in a while, and even then he has to be unbeaten or a title holder or something, but Pac wouldn't take 2 in a row. GBP knows this.

 

I know that, you know that, and everyone else on the planet seems to know that. But until the WBO actually DOES SOMETHING about it, we're sort of stuck. lol

 

forget it. marquez will ask for 10million and for sure only 50 people will actually pay for the fight though it's postponed 10 tims already.

 

yep. pac can even decide to fight hatton at the end of the year if he gets past diaz this june. but it would probably be either juan diaz or casa since both campbell and jmm are unavailable for the rest of the year. but yeah, pac can definitely fight anybody he chooses. after all, he's currently "da man" of the lower weights.

 

if they fight in Nov., then they are definitely unavailable for pac for the rest of the year. i don't think jmm wants to fight that early. jmm is content in fighting just 2X a year. that's why this bout is already tentatively scheduled in nov. the way i see it, it is campbell who doesn't have a worthy opponent for mid-year as pac, the diazes, and casa are all busy. no use fighting katsidis as he already lost to casa. it is campbell who is now left in the cold.

 

.. i wonder if JMM really wants to fight anybody esle except pac! campbell vs jmm sounds interesting! i wonder if jmm is interested?

I think people are misunderstanding......
.....when Campbell is talking about freezing out, he is'nt saying that GBP is trying to freeze out Manny Pacquiao.....
.....what he is referring to is that GBP wants to freeze the winner of a proposed fight with JMM and himself, out of a fight with Pacquiao.

I'm not sure that GBP already has Juan Diaz officially inked to a multi-fight contract, but if they do or dont, it appears that GBP will promote Juan Diaz.....

GBP I believe already know that Arum wont be fool enough to throw his cash cow to JMM again, so a JMM fight with Pac this fall will be highly unlikely.....thats why they're trying to arrange a fight between JMM and Campbell in November, to get Campbell who is promoted by Don King out of the way of negotiating for a Pac fight, and leaving Bob Arum no choice but to arrange a fight for Pac with a GBP fighter, either Juan Diaz, or Ricky Hatton!

If GBP gets Campbell out of the way for the fall, if Arum wants to involve Pac in a big fight, he has no choice but to negotiate with GBP!

 

Actually, Khan's fight a few weeks ago WAS a WBO eliminator. But even if there were no official "mandatory challenger", a mandatory defense is still due, so we would be ordered to fight the "highest ranked available" fighter. But until the WBO actually strips Casa, and removes that obstacle, we cant negotiate with Khan (wouldn't happen anyways), or Peterson. And it certainly doesnt help when Casa does a B-talk interview yesterday saying he's waiting for the Campbell-Casa purse bid, when he knows full well he's fighting Diaz next. Like he's really going to fight Nate when the split would be 80-20 our way. Give me a break.
