"There is no 'after this fight.' For me, my only purpose in life right now is beating Joan Guzman. Period. I don't think about tomorrow, next fight, I don't think about next year - right now the only fight I will ever think of is Joan Guzman. I don't believe Guzman has been saying any of those things in the press, it's been Nunez saying those things. But for me, that only spurs me on to do a better job.

Because over the last few weeks the guys in the gym have seen the change from a very affable nice guy, to me having that cold demeanor about me. I don't care about any of the talk. At the end of the day, when the bell rings, you give your soul to God and your ass to me."

I'll tell you what.. If Guzman plays 'keep-away' for most of the fight and Campbell gets behind, Nate will try and kill that dude. Campell will literally go after Guzman with lethal force. This guy is not ****ing around. To hear him say this stuff is chilling. It's about as raw and unflinching as it gets. He's more serious than he sounds, deadly serious it seems. The Diaz performance was another clear indication - Nate Campbell is about as determined as anyone, at anything, as I've ever seen. This guy is ****ing on one. I wouldn't want to fight this guy.

    Cosigned.

I have followed Nate Campbell's career, the guy has had a long life. He is 36, took up boxing when he was 28, I remember his fight with Casamayour. He has fought and lost and had ups and downs and made dumb mistakes, but he by rights won the Titles against Diaz. He beat that kid up. BEAT HIM

I was suprised when Diaz lost, but watching the fight, I realized it was truly a case of Campbell wanting it more. He wasnt there to fight the guy hoping to win, he knew fully and truly that was his single biggest shot at glory, and he took it.

Guzman is arrogant, he is undefeated, and he stepping up in weight against a guy that you are basically going to have to kill in the ring if you want to win.

Cambell isnt going to give those belts up. He does he loses everything. He is going to ****ing hurt anyone who tries.

I havent just been supporting Campbell because I dont like Guzman. Campbell has the mindset to right now that makes him unstoppable. You want the title, you have to go to war with him. I would pick him over anyone right now at 135. His will is that much greater

I would be very happy for him if he indeed beat Guzman.

    He deserves it if ever.

co-signed. At the end of the day you can want it all you want but at this level ability often means more than will. We'll see how much Nate has.

It's been enjoyable seeing Nate transform from a 'come what may' fighter into an 'undeniable force'. :yikes

As he said on FNFs last year, he is now fighting for his family and nothing will stand in his way.
    Go get 'em Nate.

I would if it was original, but much as I like Nate, it's not. I had a friend who used to tell his wife all the time, "Your heart might belong to Jesus, but your ass belongs to me."

Nate UD 12 with Guzman looking like Joppy when it's over.
