Campbell's style is the kind that would beat Cotto easily.

He just has that raw old school pressure and Cotto can't handle that because he can't run from it.

Cotto never faced a guy that REALLY stood his ground and/or pressured Cotto without giving him 1 second rest.
He is fighting pretty low paced because his opponents allow him to.

I know campbell is too small for Cotto. But i'm purely talking style here since I think there is no one at 147 with the same style as Campbell.

You mean little Nate Campbell? He'd last about two rounds with Cotto. Really, you can't be talking about him, can you?

    That's a complete bull**** . . . r u hallucinating kid?

Campbell won't even survive Quintana and Torres or Mosley even now at his past his prime stage. And he certainly would survive a smaller version of Margarito. :D

So just cut the bullcrap boii.

I think people are misinterpreting the thread starter. He never said Campbell would beat Cotto, he said a fighter with Campbell's style would beat Cotto.

I see what you are saying, Margarito would be one of his biggests test when refering to pressure... but cotto has faced the kind of pressure you are refering to... Mosley hardly gaved him any space, Torres attack him constantly, Judah was on top of him for the first few rounds... Ironically Cotto was ask about that after his Gomez fight... the question you should also consider why aren't they pressuring him...

Lovemore N'dou pressured Cotto the entire fight. Even after Cotto broke one of his ribs, he didnt let up. Cotto fought on his back foot the entire fight.

I disagree with this thread. You don't stand in front of Cotto. Period.

my thoughts exactly. However Campbell did more than stand in front of his opponent against Diaz, he leaned on him and smothered them. Unfortunately for Campbell, Cotto can also step back, start popping out the jab, and use some better boxing skills than Campbell has. Something that Diaz couldn't do.

:good And fighting on the inside with Cotto is much different than fighting on the inside with Diaz. Cotto is far more accurate and far more powerful in a P4P sense.
