Campbell's style is the kind that would beat Cotto easily.

I hope you're right BigReg. Otherwise, this thread starter is quite foolish. If you are right, this thread will be answered by how well Cotto does against Margarito.

I like Campbell but I dont see it, even if they were at the same size Id still pick Cotto.

I already think Cotto is going up against a guy with a style horrible for him.

There is really no perfect style to beat Cotto. You cant just say well outbrawl him or outbox him. He is good at both brawling and boxing now.

He is the complete package. If only he was a little taller he could be succesful moving up in weight.

To beat Cotto, you need alot of things. You have to have good footwork. You have to have a good defense, especially against a left hook. You need to be a good counterpuncher with at least respectable power.

If there is a fighter out there who's comfortable fighting backwards, can also fight on the inside, moves very well within the ring, has great timing, great hand and foot speed, a good counterpuncher, has respectable power, a good chin, great defense and has a high ring IQ, I believe that fighter has the style to beat Cotto.

i think shane put pressure on him and had him going back and even boxing.i think shane was the bully at the end of there fight.

cambell style is a good fight for cotto but i think if cambelll was a natural ww i think cotto would stop him in a good fight no great fight !

diaz did good but he lacks the power, he is more of a hatton pressure fighter which really wears you down but know one punch will hurt you, unless its the right kinda of body punch ! cotto has a style were he puts on effective pressure and accurate power shots.same thing with margo, he just throws more hits a tad bit less then cotto and is not as good as cotto with boxing.
but his height and reach and chin and volume punching style makes up for easily.

cambell would not beat cotto, even if he was a ww.he would have got broken down fight cotto like he did diaz i think.

Nooo not at all. Campbell's pressure and all out attack style isn't comparable to the slow margo style.

You're saying that only pressure fighters can beat Cotto. I beg to disagree here. I think PBF's style/skill is suited to beat almost everyone. PBF might not be a pressure fighter but he sure is a very slick and accurate puncher. He may not KO Cotto but he can win by points. Don't get me wrong here, I want Cotto to win their fight but I just think objectively that PBF is still better than Cotto.

Last I checked Margarito applies a bit of pressure.

So are we calling Nate Campbell a pressure fighter because of his last performance against Diaz?
