Going in to the last 2 rds, i had Campillo winning 7 out of 10.
He starts well the eleventh, the break in the action occurs ( for the cut to be checked), then Campillo gets caught clowning around by a solid right counter , and he retreats for the remainder.

Now, if you're Campillo, you've just probably lost a close rd because you were celebrating; what do you do ?

You come out in the last and leave no doubts, yes ?

Nope; Campillo was content of defending then exploding with a few counters, not enough to win the rd.

That makes it 7 rds to 5 for Campillo, but with the knockdowns ( the second was BS in my opinion) its 113-113.

The guy who had Cloud ahead 116-100 is crazy, but the one who gave Campillo 115-111 gave him the last rd, which he didn't win.

Campillo only has himself to blame; you can't give away the last 2 rds and hope to win abroad after multiple knockdowns.

Campillo did far more in the first half of 11 and the last minute of 12 than Cloud did in either of those rounds.

I'm just commenting because i saw today the fight after reading about it.
In my opinion Campillo did was he always does, leave just enough doubt to lose the fight.
The 11 might be open to interpretation, but not the 12 .

Either you score the 11 for Campillo and give him 114-112, or it's a draw.

    Where's the robbery ?

    rd1 10-7 to Cloud

rds 2-10 was a shut out! Campillo

rds 11-12 ...i still gave to Campillo but...ok...if in doubt sway to the champion Cloud.

    This wasnt even close!

Campillo 114-112 is the closest it could get

Travolt, Seriously I applaud your efforts but come on, Campillo did enough to win the fight. Even if you gave cloud the last 2 rounds we're still talking 115-111 Campillo. rounds 2-10 were ALL campillo. I would only slightly agree with respect to the fact that I think the lesson learned in this fight (as with others like Trinidad/de la hoya, Byrd/oqendo etc) is that Judges seem to HATE IT when a fighter who is ahead chooses to dance & celebrate the last 2 rounds as opposed to fighting.

    Seriously.
Bernstein and the others gave the sixth to Cloud. Rewatch the tape.
The fourth was close, but Cloud was busier and had Campillo backpedalling and defending 80 % of the rd.

So, the 1, 4 and 6 are for Cloud, and there's nothing controversial about it.

The eleventh was clearly Campillo's. It was actually just about his best round for the first half of it. Then he got a bit hurt but managed to avoid the hard shots for the remainder of the round, which was even-ish. He put a beating on Cloud the first half and hit him - and backed him up - all over the body and head from different angles. Had that continued the round could even have been 10-8.

The twelfth is Campillo's too, but I could see a case for Cloud. He could also have won round six and one more but this still isn't enough.

I disagree but yet & still even if you give cloud 6 & 4, add up the scores , Campillo still wins by a point. Bottomline Campillo won, At best taking into account your arguements worst case scenario it would be a draw. The idea the Campillo is now walking around with an additional fight in the 'L' column is an injustice, as was the shemenov fight.

TARVER right at the end of the eleventh : "This is a close round"

You can perfectly make a case for Cloud winning this rd, altough he was well dominated in the first half of it. The punch he landed shook bad Campillo, and then he dominated the rest.

Judges often remember the last part of a rd more than the first.
Then you have the champion/ hometown factor to consider, so it's pêrfectly possible to give Cloud the 11.
