Can’t give GGG much credit for the Vanes KO

This. GGG would've been better off not fighting and waiting for the Canelo rematch rather having such a mismatch. Brook and Vanes actually hurt his resume rather than help it.

I was posting ahead of this that if he was going to face a guy like Vanes they should scrap the date....but who knows Golovkin just had 2 very tough bouts with Jacobs and Canelo where he struggled mightily and wasnt the killer he had been. Getting a KO could be the confidence builder to get him back on track even if it was a glorified exhibition fight

Golovkin's had a long lay off, is 36, and had trained extensively for a game plan for Clenelo.

A great KO, but just a decent win.

 

Golovkin gets hate no matter what. Not everyone likes a winner though. When all is said and done, all will respect what he has accomplished in the sport. Like Mayweather.
