The industry needs Shields to win. She's a highly decorated fighter, she would attract millions of viewers. And she's from the US. Her ambitious and arrogant attitude is a plus.

 

@Austinboxing when Shields destroys the British Marshall, she will make a name for herself in the US.

After she cleans the division, she'll probably challenge a male boxer. The world is changing, Shields vs a male boxer would be the first in boxing history.

 

Shields will win a dull fight and everyone is going to be mad.

Yeah I could see this happening even though nothing would make me happier than seeing Shields get KTFO

 

I'm pretty sure it will be exciting. Women tend to really go for it (eg Taylor/Serrano) which is one of the genuine pluses of women's boxing.

 

Shields is one the greatest heels ever, and all she has to do is be herself.

 

Dull? Women dont do dull they let their hands go from the first bell unlike men who are scared of getting hit. Men need atleast 5 rounds before they start opening up.

Even in street fights men spend 95% of the time being verbal and posturing while women go straight in.

 

IMO there are tons of boring women's fights because they don't have real power. The tension is missing. Shields is a perfect example. Top notch athlete with Olympic pedigree, but can't break an egg. I don't mind watching those types of fighters, but you wouldn't want to see Paulie Malignaggi fight his clone on a regular basis.

This bout is interesting because of the build-up and Marshall does pose a threat. However, Shields is going to do an Andre Dirrell against Curtis Stevens and tap out an ugly decision.

 

I think the women just waste any moments in their fights because they know they have less time to work with.
