I don't think he was shot, just out of shape, ad he was against Rahman first time round. That happens when you're preparing for a fighter of Kirk Johnson's calibre and end up fighting Vitali.

Lewis would beat him today never mind 2004 I'm not a klitchko hater , but he hasn't had a complete metamorphosis and is now one of the greatest ever heavy weights . It is more a case of the opposition being well under par today which makes him look so good .he's the same guy who was ko,d a couple of times by mediocre opposition . Who has really got his act together and applies his physical attributes a lot better than he used too.
