Interesting video, this is a 6'7 HW and a Ingle (British trainer responsible for Naseem Hamed, Bomber Graham, Junior Witter) trained prospect tipped to become a British Champ. According to Hayes (6'7 HW) he got battered by Junior Witter 140lb, 5'7 WBC Champ

Does it put a new slant on Super HWs versus smaller HWs?

SamLangford at 5 7 beat Big Bill Tate 6 6,while Tate was no world beater he was a useful fighter a fringe contender and knew his way around a boxing ring.

Please lord, dont let janitor read this thread.
If janitors 5 ft 1 welter walcott can beat 6 ft 3 lt heavy bob foster then by this same logic a 5 ft 7 geezer can beat a 6 ft 7 bloke.
By the way, sparring matches are not the same as real fights.

    Janitors 5' 1'' welterweight beat a 6' 3'' contender and a 6' 6'' fringe contender.

Size alone will not make a diffrence, but the understang on how to use size dose.

Sandy Ferguson was the Oleg Maskaev of his era. Top talent, badly matched, but ocasionaly producing wins over the best.

Why can small men today not repeat these feats?

    There are two possible explanations.

Either the big men of that era lacked basic skills but the small men didnt despite being taught by the same trainers.

    Or-

We are looking at a small man who is off the scale pound for pound.

The latter is the most parsimonious explaination.

The first man to comment on the actual clip, it would be a thing of beauty if Ingle got hold of a quality HW :good

U know Sweet F ALL then, he had Bomber Graham (most avoided MW of the last 20 years), Hamed, Jonny Nelson, Junior Witter (most avoided LWW in the last 20 years), Ryan Rhodes, Robin Reid

Thats 6 world class fighters and 2 P4P level fighters from local talent alone

As far as I know the greatest height difarential overcome between two fighters on anything aproaching the world level is 17"

The greatest weight disparity overcome is 110 lbs.
