Can a amateur boxer pursue others careers while boxing and still be a good amateur boxer ?

    Was curious to find out if it's possible to pursue things outside of amateur boxing and still be good. If possible give examples of people you know that did it or if you did it describes the experience.

    You're talking about most Amateur boxers the world over, and even mid to high level pros.

    Unless you're a world level amatuer in a national program or independently wealthy, I don't know how else you would pay your bills. Most pro fighters who don't have backing from big-time promoters and financial backers have full-time jobs. It's a very small percentage that make a living boxing.
