    UFC is a glorified street fight in a cage, there is no room for skills there. Just two guys mounting each other on the canvas.

    Absolutely.

    Mayweather has a style that would prosper with small gloves. Guys that use a the highguard defense would get cut down.

    They were afraid to break their hands and/or were fighting with damaged hands. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a lot of slapping and palming.

    4 oz gloves allow for just enough protection to unload with more and/or full force and not have to worry that much about your hands breaking.

    I'm for smaller gloves. Gloves are there to protect the hands and shouldn't be there to be used as a shield.
