Can a legitimate argument be made to include The Bronze Bomber into the Hall of Fame?

I think mvc may be actually a Floyd/Wilder hater using disguise and reverse psychology techniques on ESB to attract as much animosity against them as possible.

But on a second thought, I doubt he's that iintelligent, so he's just a regular troll with a sorry-ass life

You would have to infect half his opponents with AIDS. Then you have to make sure to blame Areolla for starting the epidemic. And then, and only then, when Dontay is covered with herpes, AIDS, Zika Virus, and Ebola and possibly the black plague will me and Boxed Ears appreciate anything you say. And after that, everything you say will **** us off. Right, Boxed, or am I totally drunk?

Yep. I think he's about to join Shockmaster on my burgeoning ignore list.

I like a joke here and there as much as the next poster but these guys are way over the top and offer nothing.

To be fair this is better than the usual tripe MVC posts.

Shall we recall gems such as:

"TBE was so great. Man, I miss him so much! Discuss."
"TBE could have beaten Ward AND Froch at 168. Discuss."
"TBE was the #1 p4p champion in history. Discuss"

    Baaaarrff.

Wilder is a boxer that I'd file under "pretty good".

You don't go, what is it, 35-0 with 34 KO's even through a bunch of cans without being better than decent.

So, I could see him one day being a HOF fighter if he carries on like this. Even squashing 15-20 more cans would probably be enough through sheer dint of numbers.

That said, his resume is hugely flattering if you look at the numbers alone, and his inflated sense of importance based on that is a bit of a turn-off. He needs to fight and beat Povetkin, his mando, and then I'll hop onto the wagon.

If he gets my Christian Hammer in his next fight, then avenges his defeat to Zelenoff, I think you'd be hard pressed to say he's not deserving.

One thing that is a pet peeve of mine is talking about legacy while it's being written. For example I didn't like it when they hounded Peyton Manning about his legacy every other hour while he was trying to win. It's certain types that talk about this that feel they are in a position to mold opinions and creating narratives. Then we end up with the likes of Arturo Gatti, a b level boxer, in the hall of fame.

It's sad that we're so used to the above posts that this is seen as a step up from MVC.

I - despite being one of Wilder's bigger critics - have never said he is a bad fighter. I've only ever criticised him for being a reluctant cherry picker who has taken the path of least resistance very step of the way. I think that's fair.

If he does do a number on Povetkin or someone else of note, the question will be why on earth did it take him so long to step up?

Anyway... He has about as much right to be considered for the HOF right now as Morrison, Bentt or Hide.

Surely the OP can't be referring to Wilder? Surely not?

They let McGuigan in so might as well. It became a joke to me when he got in.

The Bronze Bomber will definitely be indicted in the HOF. Especially after he KOs Joshua, Fury, Haye, Ortiz.

Certainly not at this stage, but you never know - he's not done anything to exclude himself from it yet.
