Can a legitimate argument be made to include The Bronze Bomber into the Hall of Fame?

Hell no, he only has a decent win on his resume and is that, decent.

I'd imagine that was for the political significance of his title win rather than in ring achievement. They seem to take celebrity into account when making their decisions which is odd. Gatti was always going in due to the fame of his fights rather than the significance of his wins which shows you that the criteria for entry is perhaps wider than most hardcore fans would like.

How can you put McGuigan and Wilder in the same sentence on this?
Fair enough it's probably a stretch to include McGuigan because although a good fighter he wasn't a great one.
But at least he beat fighters of the calibre of Pedroza, Taylor, Laporte and Caba all in relative terms far more infinitely more accomplished opposition than who Wilder's faced.

The only time that glass jawed FRAUD is getting into the Hall of Fame is when he pays for a ticket, just like all the cab drivers that have served as his opponents.

I have to agree.....................Wilder will be fighting his 5th voluntary defense against another bum/wino, can't remember when a so-called champion ever fought so many bums............ever!

It's worse when you consider how pathetic Wilder's pre-title "opposition" was. Basically, the worst collection of tomato cans I've ever seen a touted fighter pad his record with on the way "up."

And Wilder did that for like 5 years before he started facing washed up "names" like Fraudley and Lyakhovich, who weren't that great in their "primes" anyway.

His whole career is a fraud! Can't believe anybody buys into this BS.

Joshua is trying to get Wladimir into the ring for his 17th fight and 3rd year as a pro.

In comparison, Wilder was still 11 fights and 2 and a half years away from risking it against (a shot) Fraudley. LOL!!

Yes. The argument is that beating Nichols and Charlie Z, future hof-ers, earned him that status

I think that Wilder's best win was against Stiverne when he won the title.

Stiverne's best win was against Arreola.

Based on that alone, Wilder should be ranked in the HoF.

His subsequent 4 "tough defences" make him a "lock"

Most memorable win was when he got off the floor against power punching Dustin Nicholls to score an impressive win
